    WAR is a good way to look at the quality of some players. If (when) Greene cuts down in his strikeouts, he could become a superstar. His month of June has been very impressive.

    That's why some folks were thinking McKinstry might make it. At one point, he had a high OBP. Utility players, who can play decent defense, are pretty valuable these days.

    The All Star game is simply a popularity contest in some cases. Is Greene the 2nd best outfielder in the AL? And Javy the 3rd best? Yeah, I don't think so.

    It's pitch recognition. Some of his swings during this slump look very weak, half swings like he's totally fooled. He'll snap out of it, hopefully soon.

    The Tigers are 49-30. And 8 of those 30 losses came on the last 8 Saturday's. That seems like a high % of losses on the same day. About 27% of our losses on Saturdays.

    Granderson was also very good. He ended up having a fine career. If Greene can finally stay healthy and cut down on the strikeouts, he has the potential to be a superstar. But I wouldn't consider him there yet, IMO.
