  1. It is feasible imho. I also read it was Mike's input that resulted in signing Prince Fielder, and extending VMart.
  2. I don't think rhe gap is as wide as most analysts are saying. Buster Onley mentioned the Diamondbacks might be the best if they were in the AL. The Twins just swept the Giants. The Dodgers, when healthy are in a league of their own
  3. Reese Olson to IL with finger injury https://www.cbssports.com/fantasy/baseball/news/tigers-reese-olson-goes-on-il-with-finger-injury/
  4. It's finally payback for Joe Medwick time
  5. Random team stat - in their final 44 games of 2024 the Tigers went 31-13. Following the Dodgers sweep to start the season, the Tigers are 31-13.
  6. I watch shorter youtube clips from podcasts. And punks doing pranks getting their pay back
  7. Twin have won 13 in a row and have 3+ straight shutouts
  8. Reese was at 83 pitches. Not sure I understand.
  9. I remember basically guaranteeing my father he would end with 3500 hits, 600 HR and 2000 RBI.
  10. I just can't bring myself to think badly about Honus.
  11. I'm a Tigers fan living in Minneapolis. I have it on good authority that the Twins woes are directly related to the crap they pulled at the Metrodome back in the 1987 ALCS, and I have the voodoo doll to prove it
  12. Lou, Freehan and Lolich are all underappreciated by non Tigers fans
  13. You can wager $10 @ +400 that at least 17 members will agree with you
  14. I'm too young to recall 68. I do remember 72, including Campy's bat throw at Lagrow. My father talks of the 68 team much like AJ talks about this team. A lot of fight to the end wins. In 84 it seemed Lou always lead off with a hit and they scored right away, and dominated. I didn't look at stats. Maybe I'm misremembering, a la Petite. Since last August I've been loving this team
  15. I'm with ya. Since 2013 I've despised the Red Sox the most. Yankees and Dodgers right behind them. While I'm at it, eff the Celtics too!
  16. The Twins have won 10 straight and barely gained any ground
  17. Javy's walk off was the first time I'd seen it
  18. So much fun. Since last August this has been a great ride. And it might continue for several years

  20. Boras played the biggest role. Detroit's offer was mostly leverage for him. Boston eventually ponied up. He is tearing it up with Boston and they have a ton of young talent. 3/120 with opt-outs is a good deal
  21. These pics are getting blown up and planted on my living room wall! Payback for 2013. Big Papi will suffer!!!
  22. Thayron has been in a deep slump. Good to see him connect on one. Hopefully a sign of a positive stretch coming up
  23. Since the White Sox don't deem with worthy of being on their 40, I doubt any team claims him. So Detroit will have the option of buying him back if they are interested.
