  1. Doesn’t surprise me no one is posting about this game. It’s more dreadful to watch in person.
  2. For somebody else, maybe ...
  3. That would be 560 player-games, and there are only 486 player-games a season in the outfield. I assume you would take the remaining 72 games from Vierling and have him DH or play elsewhere? Also, are you out on Wenceel? I mean, i don't think much of him, but I thought most people here like him and thinks he has a future here.
  4. Maeda last pitched on August 15 and threw 80-some pitches, so my guess is he is going to see a lot of action today. Maybe he even starts, but if he doesn't, I would expect to see Will Vest "start", and Jason Foley will probably pitch late regardless of the score. We may also see Miller if it's low leverage, and possibly Wentz. If we have a disaster game today then next man up, McStinky.
  5. That's true of some of them, but I think a lot of them are just dilettantes that are trying it on for size and basically just passing through. I think that's especially true of college age kids who have been freed to think for themselves for the first time, and they're just trying on different ideologies as they would new shoes. I am convinced the vast majority of them mean no harm, and some of the protesters probably couldn't articulate any real philosophy behind it. They just know tens of thousands are people in Gaza are being liquidated by IDF and that horrifies them, and really, I think it's hard to blame them.
  6. If they had someone better than Baez to play short, Baez would be gone now. Maybe Trey Sweeney is that guy.
  7. If they're not serious and we've moved on the point of mocking them, how can it not be only one short step to admitting they will eventually become soccer moms? 😁
  8. I had suggested Beyonce and Taylor Swift together, walking off hand in hand after the intro and a group hug. That happens, and this election is over and done.
  9. While a Monte Carlo simulation would conclude Harris won't win Texas, I don't know that she can't win there, assuming it's a free and fair election. It might all come down to how effectively they suppress the minority vote.
  10. Not trying to tell you what to do here, but if the "Hamasholes" are not serious people, then there's no reason to relentlessly comment on them as though they are serious people, or to be seriously infuriated by them.
  11. Lindell was already a crazy mother****er, so if wasn't going to be Donald Trump that he would eventually crash and burn over, it was certainly going to be something else.
  12. Carp’s stick as currently constructed certainly plays at first, although we seem to have a lot of guys left over from the Avila administration who are on track to end up at first sooner than later, so there will be lots of competition for that in the next year or two.
  13. I think by that they mean parts of a claim are true and other parts of it are false.
  14. Seriously? My wife and I are planning on renting a car in Italy and then driving through Europe with it, so now I’m going to have to scour the continental driving laws for laws like this.
  15. Wow, the kid did great! “What, your source is ‘trust me, bro’?!” Brilliant!
  16. Perhaps the Trump campaign are reasoning that most voters couldn’t possibly be voting for the ticket for the woman of color—it must be for the white man. So, imply the white man is a race traitor by being a stark raving liberal who wants your nine-year-old boy to learn to use tampons, and keep the Democrats home on Election Day.
  17. My people come from Austria, and believe me when I tell you, nothing sounds better in Austrian-accented German.
  18. Funny, but also sad because now we have to reject fact-checks on their face as a joke.
  19. Gus Walz is going to be a social media star for at least a few days
  20. I liked the hug of the base runners when he crossed home plate. Never seen that at a big league game before.
  21. Looks like Kenan’s mothership is getting in on the fact-checking game.
  22. He does use a preacher’s cadence, but it feels mailed-in to me. Not that it matters much since he’s going to be named Speaker either way.
  23. Buying time for Tyler Holton. A.J. definitely wants to win this game.
  24. I was just talking with a friend and we thought Hakeem is a lock for Speaker, but his oratorical style lacks something. He seems robotic to me, with limited vocal range and relatively fixed facial expressions.
