I don't know why everyone is so eager to throw eight or nine or ten years at players, but I do think we'll get our top-end free agent signings once the system produces the core, basically once we get Max, McGonigle, Briceno, and Rainer up and running. Also, remember, it wasn't long ago when we couldn't sign top-end free agents because they simply wouldn't come here. I don't think we could've even this past offseason. Heck, we were the ones who threw the most dollars at Bregman and that didn't work. Perception of a go-nowhere franchise was a big part of it, although Harris has us almost out of those woods. But we will still struggle to get RH power hitters to come here as long as it's so much harder for them to jack bombs here. As for trades, I'm on board with Harris not liquidating key components of our system to pick up guys like Mason Miller. Harris doesn't want to **** up the plan, and I wouldn't want him to, either. As for Eduardo: that's been litigated here endlessly. My position is, I don't think it was Harris who screwed that pooch.

I think they want to go on the Strip to draw tourists, and all the casinos are going to book packages with Baseball to get tourists to go. The capacity is going to be only 33,000, so it wouldn't take so much to fill it. Plus they'll have have a Jumbotron sportsbook board, so it'll be totally on-brand.

The main problem I can think of with calling them "import taxes" is that it lets Trump off the hook for them. They can easily argue that tariffs are not import taxes because countries pay tariffs, not consumers, and that argument flies with an under-educated electorate. Perhaps even calling them "import taxes" will hurt Democrats, since it's Democrats who love imports, while real Americans prefer American-made. I'm thinking calling them "tariff taxes" might work better.

The main difference for Mize is he is getting LOB luck (80.3%, vs 71$% for Flaherty). So, if you look under the hood, Flaherty is pitching "better" than Mize. But, the results are what they are.
