  1. Maybe getting Bibee out of the game was all we needed to get rolling? All of a sudden, tying run is at the plate with two on and no out in the eighth.
  2. If even a blue state ever tries to fund a madrasa with state funds, there will be vandalism and politicians thrown out of office.
  3. The Bold Predictions thread was March! 😉
  4. Ya got announcer problems, I feel bad for you, son, I got 99 problems, and Benetti ain’t one
  5. I don’t think Flaherty and Sweeney are going out for beers after the game.
  6. We probably won’t get a shutdown reliever rental for anyone outside the top 15. I actually think we may not make any moves.
  7. Exactly this. This is not a person who is a rational Democrat, or a rational liberal, or a rational anybody representative of anything. This is a guy who's probably mentally ill who has latched onto this issue as a conduit for acting out. He could have done the same thing because he hated a certain movie. Who knows. But his moving forward some sort of peace process was nowhere on his mind, so it would unfair to hold the Palestinian people at large, or even leadership tasked with representing Palestinian interests, responsible for his action.
  8. Any idea what is the best record the Tigers started out with when they did not make the playoffs, during the playoff era? Would that be 1993?
  9. Well, this graphic sure looks familiar! 😁
  10. I would frankly be very surprised if Lange came back and pitched effectively in the majors again, and doubly surprised if he did so without walking the world.
  11. Yeah, they're my local neighborhood team and they're not in the Tigers' way, so I'm good with that.
  12. We should trade a viable prospect for a good reliever if we have no one else in the system who can step up should pumpkins arise.
  13. It's always good to beat a good National League team two of three in their park—especially one that is arguing our biggest rival over there.
  14. I don't worry about it, but sure, I care. Why not? Games in May count just as much as games in September do. It's better to pick up a game on your opponents when you win in May then to tread water against your opponents when you win in May. It's a marginal benefit worth rooting for. YMMV.
  15. I'm powering through Jason Benetti. At least this never happened when Shep ... may I call him Shep? ... was calling games on TV.
  16. We love you, Jaaavy ... oh, yes we dooooo ...
  17. Tork manages to make it to third base without getting thrown out.
  18. Coming back from the break, Benetti trying to put lipstick on the pig that is the shared post-game show FD is trying to save six dollars on. Come on, 97.1 The Ticket, hurry up!
  19. Man, I feel like we got away with one. Or, as Jason Benetti said, "Tyler Holton works some magic" ... after giving up a single to a LHH and throwing a wild pitch to advance runners to second and third. Come on, fanduel or 97.1 The Ticket or whoever is responsible: fix the audio/video discrepancy for the radio overlay already.
  20. I would characterize it as really really really, but I think we're in the ballpark together on this.
  21. I have not felt very comfortable with Tyler Holton coming into games lately.
  22. Bad timing to have a bullpen game going into a really crucial series against a key division rival.
  23. All off a sudden, halfway through the inning, the radio feed is running some five to ten seconds behind the video. What the
  24. Indeed—McKinstry must have gassed Pallante, because he walked the next two hitters on nine pitches.
  25. I simply hate being relentlessly and obviously marketed to. Other people must not object to it like I do—otherwise, there would be far more vocal protestation of it.
