  1. Four oh five? That’s it? It looked like it was pushing four fifty.
  2. I just saw on Fangraphs that Cal Mitchell jacked 12 bombs in the Pirates system as a teenager. That strikes me as pretty good at minimum.
  3. Yowza, what a bomb by MItchell.
  4. And he was considered an afterthought!
  5. Even Daz Cameron is scoring points off Jose Quintana. By way of reminder, the Cubs gave up both Eloy Jimenez and Dylan Cease to get Quintana so he could get crushed in Game 5 of the 2017 NLCS, the game that sent the Cubs home that year.
  6. TORK! had some exit velocity on that one right there!
  7. Funny you say this because Craig Monroe was extolling on the radio broadcast just now how Javy’s swing seems to be coming around, and I thought, didn’t Javy just luck that ball off his shoetops through the infield?
  8. Good night! Pleasant dreams! 😉
  9. Looks like Pittsburgh agrees with Willi.
  10. Skubal’s spirit left his body on that blown pop-up.
  11. He should know. He was once a Pirate. Kinda.
  12. Tigers have already funded his apartment at the Riverfront through mid-July and they don’t want to want their 800 bucks to go to waste.
  13. Quintana forgot the scouting report and his time as Javy’s teammate to failed to keep that pitch out of the strike zone.
  14. Yeah, and not a moment too soon seeing as how the batting practice balls are becoming a little dog-eared.
  15. It is actually my preferred version of the song.
  16. This is interesting. I understand this is one company acting and one company does not an entire economy drive—but Target is the one of the largest retailers in the country. Could they be a harbinger for what other similarly-sized retailers have been and are now doing? Because if a lot of the largest retailers are doing this same thing, that might could put a dent in the inflation and supply-chain juggernaut. Or is this merely a one-off?
  17. Ever hear the Was Not Was version? From 1990, I believe, so not quite "too hip" ... super cool, though ...
  18. Medium-rare for steak, medium for burgers. Why not?
  19. Willi? More like Won'ti, amirite?
  20. I've been singing this song since the Cubs broke through with this strategy in 2015.
  21. So had you heard that this hot nonsense was being promoted out there on the socials?
  22. Small "d". Nice touch.
  23. There are these: https://observers.france24.com/en/europe/20220506-russian-attacks-on-farms-and-silos-deliberately-trying-to-destroy-the-ukrainian-economy https://www.cnn.com/2022/05/05/europe/russia-ukraine-grain-theft-cmd-intl/index.html And there's also this, from just a couple hours ago: https://www.reuters.com/world/europe/russian-attack-destroys-warehouses-major-ukrainian-commodity-terminal-governor-2022-06-07/ But I find this one the most interesting: https://www.reuters.com/world/europe/putin-russia-ready-facilitate-unfettered-grains-supply-ukraine-2022-05-30/ Basically because Russia is positioning itself in this story to be the hero by saving the world's food economy from the attempt by [Biden/Democrats/socialists/communists/Antifa/BLM/etc.] to destroy it, or whatever.
  24. Right—only Reuters ran anything on it. I see nothing on CNN, the alphabet networks, or anywhere else. They're basically ignoring far as I can tell, which really does feed the conspiracy story.
