On May 9th, the Royals were 24-16, 3rd place in the AL Central 2.5 games behind Detroit. In the 30 games since they're 10-20, now 3 games under .500 and 11.5 games back of the Tigers. KC is now a half-game closer to the White Sox than they are to the Tigers. Ouch.
