I saw a game at Chase a few years ago. It was hot in September and 100° but they still opened the roof and it stayed cool. Kind of sterile like a mall, but a really great mall. Wide concourses with ample elbow room, so clean you could eat off the floor, great food, terrific staff. Every step of the way, parking lot, ticket booth, hostesses, just top flight.

This sucks but what was really painful was back in the day when we had a future Hall of Fame hitter and a lineup filled with all stars who were befuddled when a AAA rookie came up and they couldn’t hit him because they had “never seen his stuff.“

2-0 Fish. 

They couldn’t score run starting with a guy on second base against a pitcher who in 17 innings has an astronomical ERA and has walked 17. Maybe he was due for a correction 

Game is oppressively rapid. 

I predict a cloudburst of runs for the Tigers this inning, maybe two. 

First hit and I was sure Baez would ground into a DP and he did. 

I have the radio package and I’m out of town up in the mountains a couple hours away from home and I guess the radio app is confused. I’m not getting any real ads only MLB history pieces and public service announcements. Kind of weird. 

For me in the mountain time zone 6:40 PM is 4:40 PM. and with games being a lot shorter now that gives me plenty of time to do something else. 

Is the 6:40 PM start a nod to parents with children inducing them to go to games on school nights in the hopes of generating a love of baseball with the next generation? Now that games aren’t routinely 3 1/2 to 4 hours long, part of that resistance to bringing a child to a game has been circumvented. Maybe it has something to do with making the most of daylight?

This game sucked. It was like being spanked by the ugly babysitter and your mom thinks you’re lying. 

Strike ‘em out, throw ‘em out to end the top of the third. Nice.

Cyclists go commando and all they’ve got is a thin sheen of Lycra covering them so when they hit the tarmac their rears hang out and there’s just no way around it. And they’ll ride for another hundred miles like that. 

I can’t see that their underwear is showing through so I’m assuming they’re going commando. 

Tarik’s not used to sitting this long either.
