Correa pulled something on his right side on a check swing and he's out of the game.

I didn’t “like“ this because I like injuries. I was just glad you were reporting it otherwise I wouldn’t have known about it.

I watch a lot of men’s cycling on Peacock and MAX and when those guys hit the pavement going 30 to 40 mph, their thin sheen of Lycra exposes their bleeding butts. Riley’s getting off easy here.

I'm telling you, Bert, if you're not trading on your looks for a career as an old man fashion model, you're missing an opportunity.

Like Zoolander, I just try to remember to suck in my cheeks.

It snowed a couple inches here today in Boise Idaho and there’s been 24 inches of snow the last two days up at the ski lodge outside of town. So now that I’m not particularly incautious about being optimistic I flew the colors today on my walk.

What the hell did I do?        Whatever you think I did, I didn't do.    Been home all day.  I didn't do nothin', man.

    Gracious! That looks good!

It is the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich and I’d already taken a bite out of it. The bun is branded on top. Fries come in a small pail. And when I asked them to switch the game from the Yankees to the Tigers, they were more than happy to comply.

  7. This is off-topic, but no matter what I’m going to ask, what was with the Tigers playing that John Denver country boy song during the 84 season? I lived in Arizona then in the pre-Internet era, radio didn’t reach me there, and only saw the tigers on a rare national broadcast, but I understand there was some sort of “controversy“ about the playing of this song during the 1984 season. Any help from those not living in the diaspora at that time would be helpful. I tried to watch a YouTube video about it, but they took so long getting to the point I gave up.

Maybe they should try to play in a football stadium. The Dodgers played at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum for four years while they waited for Dodger Stadium to be completed. Built for football, the stadium was ill-suited for baseball. However, the Dodgers made the best of it. A high screen served as the left field fence to compensate for its extremely short distance from home plate. Wally Moon, who played outfield for the Dodgers, became famous for lifting pop flies known as "Moon shots" over the fence.

  9. Grass outfield seats are not an option. When I lived in Tucson and Hank Aaron was playing his last season with the Milwaukee Brewers during spring training, they did the grass outfield seats thing at Hi Corbett field and it was really stupid but OK for one exhibition game. Singles became “ground rule doubles.“ It’s tragic but this is what happens when billionaire oligarchies can do anything they want for any reason and this time it bit them.
