Probably because “Cincinnati” is so fun to write. Like “Mississippi” or “Walla Walla” or :”Kalamazoo”. Not that any of those places are particularly fun to visit, mind you. In fact, there must be some inverse correlation thing going on there …
Walla Walla has a nice Downtown and that’s where you can run into Kyle McLaughlin who did all the films with David Lynch. He has a winery there. It’s not the heavily forested area of the northwest though.

I hope the bad old days when we could lose 18 games a year to Cleveland will never happen again. There needs to be some serious karmic payback to make up for that. I’m not hoping for something like out of “Fallout.“ I would just like to see us win more than we lose against Cleveland.

I hope some of the guys that have been struggling can put some good wood on the ball at Yankee Stadium and regain a feel for that.

It’s not exactly like landing on Omaha Beach, but the next road trip is pretty challenging.

I didn’t get TV this year. So, can you still see player’s underpants or was that just ST?

It’s not like Riley is a diminutive shortstop or second baseman, so there’s no rationale for him to bat lead off.

Really, any of us would have been happy with a DH split and that's what happened.
The lackluster offense in Game 1 cost them though.... we can split hairs about how AJ used Miller and Foley all we want, but you cannot stake your pitching staff to 1-0 leads and expect them to win all the time.
But I’m not happy because I don’t approach these things rationally or temperately. I’m an emotional fan. We had a lead and lost it in the ninth inning. I’m like a drug addict passed out in the alley and somebody stole my fix and I’m not happy just because they didn’t steal my money too.

I’m feeling optimistic.

Tork acts like he grew up one side or the other of the equator. When it’s 90° and 80% humidity, he’ll really be hitting.

After the first game this win is sort of the way Keith Richards must feel when he has to settle for a trip to the methadone clinic but to me this is a good rush.

This umpire is almost as good as the robot umpire calling the game on gameday.
