  1. I have lowered my expectations to five runs.
  2. Attendance at these Reds games fell precipitously with each Tigers win: Friday- 40,000 Sat- 31,000 Sun- 25,000 A team that was flying high after sweeping the Yankees in the Bronx was brought to its knees by the Tigers, crying and begging for mercy by the end of this series. “Please don’t hurts us!” they pleaded but to no avail. PHFFT! TIGERS WIN!
  3. This has been a good week for me. Oh wait, let me do this right… sorry… My name is Bert and I’m a Tigers fan… I’m not used to things working out, anyone else familiar with that?
  4. Come on Chuck don’t be a ****.
  5. I think I figured this thing out. I think I should change my slogan to “Where’s my five runs?“
  6. I feel sorry for the Cincinnati Reds because they have Candelario as their DH. That would be almost as bad as us having the DH whose BA is .200. Oh, wait…
  7. At least we got our win for the series out-of-the-way quickly so there won’t be any nailbiting over this issue.
  8. Yes. American made. The parts are from China and Canada and it’s assembled in Mexico. Maybe somebody in Detroit designed it. But it’s a tight well functioning vehicle. Handles great. The irony is that if I could’ve afforded the Toyota I wanted it was made in Lafayette, Indiana, probably by children of my old friends from there.
  9. Never in doubt
  10. There is no rain on my driveway, but at 5:33 PM eastern time my car said it was 100° and it’s hotter than that now.
  11. According to my Weather app on my iPhone, it’s not raining anymore.
  12. heck oh my heck fiddle sticks.
  13. I do think, though, that it’s conceivable that being in a ballpark that makes you feel more confident at the very least makes you a little more chill. But I have no idea really
  14. Hey, I’m enjoying pissing and moaning and feeling bad for myself and then someone shows up with this rationality thing which is something we’re not used to around here lately. Good post though.
  15. Huh, Kreidler almost hit one and then Colt hits one. It’s almost as if this is a team that needs to be in a smaller ballpark to excel.
  16. Wow, six pitching for Olsen.
  17. If anyone knows anybody in Cincinnati, find out if their driveway is wet.
  18. I like these dramatic camera angles on Apple TV.
  19. Apple TV tonight well, what the heck, might as well watch it until it’s embarrassing. They might score 14 runs and then be shut out for the next four games so it could be fun.
  20. Wow, this is a classic beat down. Glad I didn’t organize my day around this game. I’ve been getting up early to watch the Tour de France, which forces me to take a nap to make up for early rising, and I only just now awoke to this score. Ouch!
  21. Montero and the boys did good. The twins just couldn’t figure out his stuff. I resist the idea that there’s a subterranean aquifer filled with excellent hitting ability lurking just beneath the surface that could become a regular geyser! I’m grateful for games like this, but I would be more grateful for solid performances between these outbursts and a humdrum that is really humdrum. Still a big thumbs up for them tonight. Especially Montero, given that nobody believed in him and for the most part for good reason.
  22. 19 of 24 games played in July will be against really good teams. And even the series against the Blue Jays, which I’m not including, is no gimme.
