It makes me sad there are rumors about him leaving Red Bull and Ferrari doesn't seem to be involved at all. Ask and you shall receive. Rumors have already started about Horner replacing Fred at Ferrari. Quote
Hongbit Posted July 9 Author Posted July 9 Can you imagine Christian and Lewis on Ferrari and Toto and Max on Merc. What a crazy flip flop that would be. Also see the rumor of him buying out Alpine and running his own team with Flavio. That seems to make a lot more sense. Quote
Hongbit Posted July 12 Author Posted July 12 It’s a done deal. ESPN isn’t even going to try to match. Quote
Deleterious Posted July 21 Posted July 21 Her dad is one of the nicest celebrities I ever met. Fun fact I just read. They no longer run quarter miles. I guess there was an accident years ago where someone couldn't slow down in time. So now they only run 1,000 feet instead of the 1,320 feet a quarter mile would be. This is just for Top Fuel and Funny Car classes. Quote

I won't post a link but beleive you can view it on YouTube if you want. And yes John Force is a nice and personable guy who didnt start with much and built a very successful team. Quote

Toddwert Posted July 27 Posted July 27 (edited) Oscar, lando, and Leclerc top 3 today... Mclaren boys at the top again Oscar 16 points ahead of Lando Edited July 27 by Toddwert Quote
Hongbit Posted August 27 Author Posted August 27 (edited) Great job by Caddy announcing Sergio and Valteri as their maiden drivers. Solid vets that will be great for a new team. New regs coming in next season so who knows they may have a really good car. Both have proven to know what to do when given a top car. Edited August 27 by Hongbit Quote
Archie Posted August 27 Posted August 27 I think GM was scrapping the bottom of the barrel with their choice of drivers. Perez had been a decent #2 driver for a couple teams but Bottas hasn't shown anything since his time at Williams and that was a decade ago. He wasn't even a good #2 driver at Merc. If either of them were top drivers they would be on the grid this year. There were a lot better choices out there for their driver lineup. Quote
Hongbit Posted August 28 Author Posted August 28 They got the best out of their situation. Who better would’ve been an option? Any slim chance they had of getting a current marquee driver died when Max stayed with RB. That driver would’ve been George Russell who would probably have chosen an existing midfield team over a brand new one. Quote
Hongbit Posted September 1 Author Posted September 1 ****ty way to settle the championship as Lando conks out with a few laps to go. That’s a 25 point gain for Oscar instead of 7. That will loom very large and now everyone is out hoping for a Piastri DNF somewhere in the next few races to bring the championship battle back. Quote
Deleterious Posted September 3 Posted September 3 I think the person running Ferrari's strategy team got his cousin a job designing the livery. Good god. Quote
Deleterious Posted September 7 Posted September 7 McLaren would have fired me today. No way am I giving that spot back to Norris. Sometimes it's really hard to take formula one seriously. Max laughing at them on the radio was classic. Quote
Deleterious Posted September 7 Posted September 7 Did anyone see the F1 movie? We saw it a few weeks ago and it was pretty blah. Racing scenes were amazing, but the story and acting were not great, and I'm usually a Brad Pitt fan. Quote
Deleterious Posted September 12 Posted September 12 A little shocked that Red Bull is letting Max race at Nürburgring this weekend. I doubt they would if they were in the hunt for a constructor or WDC. Quote

Christian may have been able to hold a company line with him but not so much with the new guy. Quote
