Keep it up. Sitting high in the standings, but there is a cluster of teams within 7 points of the Wings and with games in hand. Month starts at Pittsburgh on New Year's Day.

With the Wings having had 10 minutes of powerplay time in the 1st period, I'd expect some make-up calls this period.

The Wings were the better team in the 2nd period, and it was largely played at even strength. 2-2 after 2.

asp just got lucky.  gave away the puck at center ice, then got manhandled in front of the net but brazeau missed it wide.

debrincat saves raymond's bacon.  he missed a wide open net by so much that it bounced off the boards to debrincat who tapped it home.

likewise. One of the dumbest rules in the NHL. If a linesman misses an offside just play on - it was probably so close that overturning a goal because of it is just negating a good play that didn't get any material advantage by being off side by so little the linesman couldn't see it.

Overtime. With this guaranteed point (or two) and Carolina’s loss in regulation to Montreal, the Wings have the most points in the conference.

Never expected the national telecast of today’s Wings game to be pre-empted by an invasion of Venezuela!

Sluggish 1st period for the Wings, down 2-0. Wearing their regular reds not the anniversary jerseys.

Worst I’ve seen the Wings play in awhile. Lucky it’s only 2-0 and game isn’t out of reach. 5 minutes left in 2nd.

Midway through the 3rd and the Wings are being outshot 25-12. Only down 2-1 so am still holding out hope for an undeserved point.

Wings are being smothered at 5 on 5. Only chance might be if they luck into a late power play.
