buddha Posted March 6 Posted March 6 Just now, slothfacekilla said: Perron is simply a vibes acquisition for free if he doesn't even play a game. I know the guys in the room love him. If he does get healthy enough to play then at least it isn't a Shine or hopefully Rasmussen in the lineup. the fact that ras can play center and he's cheap-ish is the only reason he's on the team. i cant see a world where ras is better than mbn right now. Yet he's playing first line wing right now! They'd be way better off ejecting him for MBN or Perron. MBN probably replaces Ras or Shine after the deadline today so that MBN is eligible for AHL playoffs. Quote
Sports_Freak Posted March 6 Posted March 6 9 years with no playoffs and we're finally not sellers. Not really buyers either but...baby steps. The patience with Stevie was getting thin 2 years ago. Now it's gone. I loved him as a player but as a GM? Yes, the cupboard was bare when he got here but...I've seen enough. Quote
lordstanley Posted March 7 Author Posted March 7 It’s trade deadline day and Daniel Cleary is back! Quote
lordstanley Posted March 7 Author Posted March 7 Wings 1 Panthers 1 after 2. Wings should probably be ahead. Main thing is to avoid regulation losses especially at home Quote
Sports_Freak Posted March 7 Posted March 7 Not having a lead going into the 3rd means the Wings won't just keep dumping the puck and allow the opponent to just keep coming at them. We'll actually forecheck and try to score instead of going into a shell. That Vegas game still irritates me, no way should we have gone to OT. Terrible coaching... Quote
lordstanley Posted March 7 Author Posted March 7 I was about to say that it's critical the Wings kill off the final minute of a penalty to start the 3rd. Sigh ... Quote
lordstanley Posted March 7 Author Posted March 7 Like Vegas the other night, Florida is playing the back end of a back to back. Quote
lordstanley Posted March 7 Author Posted March 7 Larkin limps to bench after a spear in the worst spot. Quote
lordstanley Posted March 7 Author Posted March 7 Big Wings powerplay coming up for the Wings with 5:21 to go. They are outplaying Florida but that doesn't matter this time of year. Quote

buddha Posted March 7 Posted March 7 This team is still so soft. i can see why they brought back perron. even if he's hurt, thr guy just plays hard and mean. instead they have ras, and compher, and elmer (before they dealt him), and aljo, and raymond, and debrincat, and kane. not many with any kind of toughness. larkin, chairot maybe? copp on occasion. who mixes it up? who is hard to play against? i havent seen seider delivering big reverse hits in a few years now. raymond and debrincat are small. where's the toughness? please call up mbn and send rasmussen somewhere else.
