I mean, after Duren, Harris is the biggest reason Orlando went to 7.  He was a turd sandwich for six of those seven games.  One of the worst players on the court.  Shot something like 18% from three the first six games.  TS% of 48% the first six games.  We used to clown on Stanley Johnson and Killian when they were at 55%.  Props for coming through in game 7 though, that was huge.

Should be easier for him this series.  Cleveland is a bad defensive team and nobody of any consequence will be guarding him.  Mobley is also pretty easy for him to guard since he doesn't really use his size.  He was still really inefficient last night, especially from three (1-5) so hopefully he can pick it up a bit.

As far as contracts go.  Nobody is giving him more than $15 million a year.

I see a lot of Cavs fans complaining about the free throw discrepancy.

Cleveland attempted 80 field goals for the game.  38 of them were 3PTAs.  You are not going to the line when half of your shots are 26+ feet from the basket, it's simple.

Detroit took 84 field goals and only 26 3PTAs.

135 shots to score 171 points is brutal.  You give most NBA players that many shots and they will produce.  The worst NBA player is still better than 99.99% of the population.

He is 12-43 from three for a scorching 27%.

He has 10 assists in 8 games

His TS% is 55% which is below league average.

A volume chucker is not considered a good player.

Like I said, Cleveland is a bad overall team and with a bad defense.  His numbers should improve.

Winning game one was great but a couple of things bother me going forward. One is the Cavs turnovers. 20 Cleveland turnovers leading to 31 Detroit points. We had only 12 turnovers, leading to 16 Cavs points We can't count on that many Cleveland turnovers in upcoming games. The other issue is free throw attempts. We had 35 free throws to their 16. Again, we can't count on this going forward. Should this game have even been this close? Cleveland tying the game up late in the 4th quarter was a warning sign that this is going to be a long series. Even if Harden looked like a 50 year old at times. 😆

Speaking of Harris.  Harden was the primary defender on Harris for the most possessions last night at 27.  Harris had an EFG% of 83% in those possessions.  Pistons need to exploit that matchup even more in game #2.
