IdahoBert Posted June 27 Posted June 27 Valdez today… No Dingler. I presume he’s available to pinch hit. Quote
chasfh Posted June 27 Posted June 27 Is anyone in Detroit watching the game on their local cable right now? Are they playing local commercials? Quote
IdahoBert Posted June 27 Posted June 27 Maybe this is a good sign that we can hit a raft of homers today Quote

I’m watching mlb.tv and all I get are the same two versions of the same type two diabetes ad where they spend almost 90 seconds telling you how it might kill you. Every inning of every game the last several days. Quote

I ask because I see 60-second spots for Tigers tickets at least six times a game, and it finally dawned on me that these are probably pods Detroit SportsNet sets aside for local cable companies to run spot ads for local businesses, but then they also have to run something in that pod for non-localized telecasters like DirecTV Extra Innings, so they run the sh*t out of this Tigers ticket spot during those pods. chasfh Posted June 27 Posted June 27 Hao Yu-Lee is justifying my bold prediction that he would come north with the team in March. 1 Quote
IdahoBert Posted June 27 Posted June 27 Tork is not a gold glove first baseman, but I don’t know, that might’ve been a hard play for anybody… Quote
Sports_Freak Posted June 27 Posted June 27 Bad babip luck for Detroit. Hard hit balls right at fielders. Quote
IdahoBert Posted June 27 Posted June 27 That ground ball thing for Valdez isn’t great when the other guys are hitting them where they ain’t. Quote

If we do end up getting a couple of outfielders for Skubal, how about moving Riley to 1st base? He makes superman catches in LF but he has a noodle arm. And Tork isnt very good at any one thing. I thought I would be funny and went to Amazon for a picture of an athletic supporter cup. I was going to post it but I gave up...the next day I was flooding with ads for cups. I messed up my algorithm. 😅😅 Quote
chasfh Posted June 27 Posted June 27 Does Cam Smith have money on McKinstry over/under hit total or something? Because 💯 he should have caught that ball. Quote
IdahoBert Posted June 27 Posted June 27 I missed Carp’s grand slam. Sidetracked doing something else. NICE! Quote
