  1. Disclaimer: This is a purely speculative discussion here! I have ZERO knowledge that the Jets are interested or that the Lions would be willing. But, purely for the sake of discussion purposes: If the Jets came calling about Bridgewater, what would it take for you to consider trading? I know most of us wanted an upgrade at backup QB and most of us were pretty happy that the Lions signed Bridgewater. But I also know that he's a backup with zero plans to develop him as a possible replacement for Goff, so he's not "untradeable" if the right offer comes along. So, what's the right offer? What would make you willing to have Sudfeld move up to be the the backup?
  2. Or like Fields, who's occasionally schemed as a QB.
  3. That's kinda my feeling. I mean, unless Rodgers had some nagging injury his 2022 season was a very down year for him. A healthy Rodgers is maybe a good QB for the Jets, but I don't see him being great. But on a side note: If this really is the end of his career, then his last completed pass in an NFL game is still to Kerby Joseph.
  4. The reverse. Packers have the Jets' 2nd round pick in 2024, but if Rodgers plays 60% of the snaps for the Jets then the Packers get the Jet's 1st round pick instead. So this is good news for the Lions.
  5. I think it's pretty hard to say at this point. If he started out with a great OL then maybe... it all hinges on how good of a passer he is. As dynamic as he is with his legs even just being a mediocre passer would probably make him a dangerous QB. But I think he might have had his growth stunted by horrible OLs. If he's constantly worried about being hit he isn't going to make more than 1 or 2 reads at the most before taking off. I remember how we used to talk about Lions' QBs getting happy feet. That they couldn't sit comfortably in the pocket for much time and seemed to be dancing back there just waiting for the hit rather than progressing through reads. I think Fields might have happy feet.
  6. A 177 pick doing it is a nice accomplishment. I'm not trying to down play that. What I think is silly is the "hasn't been done since 2021." That was only two years ago.
  7. While I'm happy the Giants got smoked, I'm less thrilled with how good the 'Boy looked.
  8. I don't get this... I mean I get that 100 years in a first every game is nice. But, first rookie since... 2 years ago? That's not saying very much.
  9. Scrolling through Chiefs' Reddit:
  10. You're at least 5.88% right.
  11. Love being able to root for both of these guys. Hutch in particular seems like the Lions' version of Cabrara when it comes to fans. He just seems to really love the game and want to what he can to please the fans.
  12. Another thing I just noticed while watching highlights: The play just before the fake punt was a pretty good play for Goff. All receivers were covered, he rolled out, even retreated to the end zone to buy time, then found Jones coming back to him. If he throw incomplete or just throws it away or even tries to gain a few yards with his feet, then it's 4th and 7... Campbell probably doesn't fake and no TD drive.
  13. That is correct, and it honestly sucks for him because that wasn't his fault at all. That was right in the receivers hands. I'm not complaining of course... but it stinks that he gets an INT when he did everything right. I almost feel like there should be an earned INT stat sorta like earned runs in baseball. That might be too subjective of a stat though because you could ALWAYS nitpick little things that the QB coulda-shoulda-woulda done differently or you could say stuff like: Well, the receiver ran the wrong route, so if he goes where he was supposed to that's not an INT.
  14. No, they lost twice at home in 2020, twice in 2021, and once last year.
  15. Lions with the best record in the NFL... at least for the next couple of days.
  16. I've got a very mixed reaction to Goff this morning. On one hand I thought he too often locked on to the #1 read and the defense say that and got into his throwing lanes. Too many balls batted at the line of scrimmage. But on the other hand... he had some AMAZING throws where the ball lead the receiver perfectly into a spot... threading the needle between defenders. This throw in particular is just stunning:
  17. While this is true, remember the Lions are missing a key player in Jamo and the Refs sure helped the Chiefs OL a lot this game.
  18. So you're saying it'll be a different game when they meet in the SB?
  19. Oh dude, thx! I nearly missed that.
  20. Holy heck they did it! Holy crap...
  21. On a purely side note... is there any business that Mahommes isn't in a commercial for?
