  1. I'm fully aware that Twitter has gone a bit off the rails, but I still use it regularly. Anyway, recently my Following page has been infiltrated by this account called Disco Triscuit. I can assure you that I am not intentionally following that account, but it shows up all the time anyway. The posts are usually kinda funny, so I haven't made the effort to block it, but it's just so odd. Literally everything else is things that I follow.

I was really hoping to baby the Ariens I got 4 years ago on FB Marketplace and make it thru this winter, but this morning the handle literally fell off in my hands - & there's really not enough metal there to try to weld it on.

Wondering what you guys & gals use - and is there one in particular you would say run away from?  What about electric vs gas?  Anybody try the eco-friendly stuff yet?

I left my Toro Power Clear at the end of my driveway until someone finally took it, if that tells you anything about how I felt about it.

I really enjoyed the positivity of season 2.   The ending was sort of contrived situation comedy 101 stuff but i'll forgive that.

They had to do something to make sure they were classified as a Comedy...

The Christmas dinner episode was the best, most uncomfortable episode of a show I think I have ever seen.

  4. I can't believe the Yes to that is only +190.  Just because she supports him publicly doesn't mean that she would in any way want such a personal thing as a proposal done in such a public way. Anyone betting Yes on that for those odds is a moron (or betting on that in general, but especially Yes).

Have not seen Succession but suspect that its not as good at what it does as Andor in defying the category limitations of being a Disney+ Star Wars series.

Succession was great at making a compelling show consisting of all bad people. Somehow it was a show of all antagonists. LOL! Also, Succession was not really a show about the media in the way that the Daniels show was. It was a family dynamic/backstab show with a media company as the backdrop.

Videos with the same person playing multiple characters talking to themselves. They aren't funny.

If that's a shot at Annie Agar and her meetings, or at Brenden Clinton and his film sessions, I won't stand for it.

  7. I liked Casty when he was a Tiger, I liked him when he was a Red, and I like him on the Phillies. Just something about him clicks with me, and makes me appreciate him as a player and a person. Here he is explaining why Scooby Do is his favorite superhero. 🤣

On the subject of JV for those that give a crap about stuff like this(I personally don't) yet another deep postseason run will almost assuredly mean he will be going into Cooperstown town as an Astro or at the very least will probably end up being remembered by people as an Astro and not Tiger.

I agree with you. He will be remembered by those outside of Detroit for his Astros accomplishments much more than anything he did with the Tigers. I can easily see him going into the HoF as an Astro.

I also learned a few weeks ago that Billy Squire has made millions from people sampling his riffs.

I loved Billy Squier.  I know the Rock Me Tonight video is "credited" with ruining his career, but I still like the song. The video is an unmitigated disaster though. I hope that director was never allowed behind a camera again.

And now I see a track just released yesterday called Powerhouse on Spotify. Nice!

Actually, that's just a remix of an old song. There is a release from March called Harder On a Woman, but it's not great.

    Wow.  Wasn’t expecting this one.

I’ve seen him in Columbus, Cleveland, Cincinnati, Detroit, Pittsburgh, Wisconsin, and Las Vegas.

The Vegas one….  A certain poster around here kicked the idea about our Buffett group of several couples going there.  So, he texted me one morning about tickets going on sale in less than an hour, are me and my wife in?  Well, my wife and I hadn’t really made a decision.  So my response was, well, the wife didn’t say no, so, sure, we’re in.  And that’s how we saw him in Vegas.

You're welcome. When you are friends with someone for 30+ years, you learn a few things about how to help them get to the right answer and to not question a "yes".

Saw Arctic Monkeys and Fontaines D.C. last night at Pine Knob.  Packed house.  I was just as into Fontaines as Monkeys, but today I am hurting.  I mean, I am in SERIOUS pain today.

All I did was go to a concert.  There was no drinking.  There was no wildness.

    **** aging..........

Not familiar with Fontaines, but saw AM before when they opened for Black Keys. I believe that show was at Joe Louis Arena.
