Well there it is.  Like the speech or else I am a trump lover who wishes he was there on Jan 6th to participate.  There cant be any other reason to dislike that speech last night!

You guys have become them and don't even know it.

If that's what you think I said, then that's on you. All I said was, if you felt personally attacked by the speech last night, then you are probably a hard core MAGA already. I didn't say you had to like it or agree with it. If you did feel personally offended by the speech, well then I'm sorry that you are a MAGA that should fuck right off.

Fuck yeah!  Preach it, brother.  Fuck those people with different opinions.

If your opinion is that the 2020 Presidential election was stolen and don't think J6 was a big deal, then yes, please, fuck right off.

I was busy last night and didn't get to see the speech. This morning all I see is right wing pictures of this. Where was the speech at? I mean alot of my brothers in the military are seeing this as the start of something big, like the shoe has dropped. Dangerous times ahead.....

Anyone that is clutching their pearls about that speech last night needs to take a hard look in the mirror. He was clearly talking only about the hard core MAGA crowd. If someone feels threatened by that, then they can go f@&k themselves (to borrow a phrase from the Red Hats).

that's going to be bad... and I don't mean what we'd mean in 1984 if we said something was bad.

Yeah, for every Maverick there are way more Coming 2 America's. I have virtually no hope for Beverly Hills Cop 4, especially since it will be direct to streaming.

And as fun as it has been to even gamble a little bit, the explosion of this has made sports less enjoyable.

Disagree. Sat behind a family with three older boys (early 20s) at a Pirates-Brewers game. The oldest had done some stupid parlay, where he needed Brewers to win, Adames to homer and something else. The homer and the "something else" happened pretty early, so all he needed was for the Brewers to hang on in a game they were already winning 3-0. Bottom of six comes and Pirates get two guys on.  Youngest brother says "I don't know man, I feel a Oneil Cruz homer here..."  Two pitches later, POW. Three run homer for Cruz. LOL! Older brother starts to lose his mind, while the youngest howls with laughter. Pirates scored two more runs and went on to win 5-3.

It provided boundless entertainment for me, as well as a life lesson in sports gambling for my 17 year old. 🤣

Bought a six pack of new socks and today put on a pair and did so with the full knowledge that no matter what I do, and how hard I try, these socks will never EVER be this white again.

Zipper merge works great if everyone accepts the concept of late merging. But not only is that not the case, many early mergers are religiously fervent about everyone has to get over out of the lane that’s closing at the first sign, usually a mile or mile and a half away, because it’s only fair. My younger brother is that guy and he’s very adamant about it. Plus, every once in a while, you will see someone playing Corporal Lapdog, using their car to block the lane that’s closing so that no one can drive all the way to the end and late merge because, I guess, they think they’re helping maintain societal law and order or something.

I can admit that this used to be me. Now I get angry at those people that are doing nothing but artificially moving the merge point way back from where it should be.

I've done a lot of roads trips over the last month, so I can't remember where I saw it, but they actually had signs telling people that a lane closure was coming but NOT to merge yet. Then at the last 1000 feet or so, there was a "zipper now" sign. There wasn't much traffic at the time, so I can't really say if the signage really helped at all, but I thought it was a great idea.

    So......guitaring?

No real update to provide. I'm like the lessons well enough, but I'm not doing anything exciting. Just learning the strings and chords. July was a bit of a setback. I had COVID and then was travelling once I recovered. Not much practice time or lessons, so picking it back up after that I had some catching up to do.

It will exceed my expectations if, upon conclusion, they refer a criminal indictment to Justice of Trump and his top architects of the plan to conspire to overturn the will of the voters in the 2020 election.

It will fail to meet my expectations if, upon conclusion, they basically turn toward the electorate and say, "well, it's all in your hands now ..."

And it will meet my expectations on the nose if, upon conclusion, they refer a criminal indictment to Justice of a few additional individual-actor red hats for the act of breaking into the Capitol on January 6th.

Agreed. A certain quote from the immortal Winston Wolfe in Pulp Fiction comes to mind.

  10. I did get a good chuckle during the broadcast when Jack said "Hey, thanks to those of you who are still watching". I think they cut his mic though before he could add "this shitshow of a team".

As others have said, they desperately need a shakeup. They problem is though that for most positions they don't have any viable prospects to replace people with (except Greene). As for trades, guys hitting under .200 with no power don't have a lot of value to contending organizations. Maybe a couple of our bullpen arms could be of interest, but we aren't getting high quality prospects in return for any of our flotsam.

A man in Warren's house exploded.   He had stockpiled weapons and explosives.   He has an extensive criminal record involving weapons, yet was somehow still able to stockpile them.     He lost both of his arms in the explosions  and this might sound cold, but you reap what you sow.     Whatever he was up to, it wasn't good.

So now he's an unarmed man...
