  1. He's not on the 26 man but appears (he's listed as 10 day IL) on 40. My guess is these slots are reserved for Meadows and Wencel Perez.
  2. So, 40 man stands at 38 with the moves yesterday. Who gets added?
  3. This is so f'n stupid. How would you react if you were a "replacement level" moderate Swedish citizen? https://www.newsweek.com/european-city-reacts-trumps-dei-ultimatum-2068974
  4. University of Florida is working on the "Old Time Religion,Weather Prediction Center For Knowing When God Loves You or for When God is Testing You"
  5. Oh man...this was a better win than the dream I had last night told me it was going to be.
  6. Jobe lets get it together.
  7. Much less so now that Jack White arrived.
  8. This game is going pear shaped
  9. No excuses for that man supporting the Afd
  10. seriously MLB...get off Twitter. Its offensive to human dignity to be on this nazi guy's platform.
  11. Of course we are talking about this stuff that happened over 10 years ago like none of us went through it in real time. Good times.
  12. GOP senators fear Marjorie Taylor Greene will cost them Georgia Senate race PLEASE!!!! If we are going to impeach him we need 60 seats and she will lose this one badly for Georgia GOP.
  13. The mind reels at Brandon Inge's juggalo fans
  14. Not sure if you were tracking the phenomena of him always being the player of the game no matter what his accomplishments because he had a female fan club (purported to be consisting of low-rent downriver gals). I hope he took advantage of that status and I hope he wore protection.
  15. He was a good athlete for sure. He was never going to be a hitting scientist.
  16. actually 2011 was even better.
  17. Dave didn't hit a home run in 2009 to be sure. The 2012 deadline was much better for him.
  18. Was reading about the end of Brandon Inge's time. I had forgotten he was good-ish until he hit a wall coinciding with him catching mono in 2011. Then he was not good. The career end can be sudden for some.
  19. You almost have to add something at the deadline as a token to your team to show them you mean business. Dunno how this will work this year.
  20. Oof...still, he didn't actively do anything awful...unless you include this from his wikipedia page. That had some mustard on it.
  21. Deadline acquisition for the era 2006-2013 that pissed you off the most? 2009's Aubrey Huff. That jackweasel contributed nothing and was a bad human.
  22. Miggy at 3B and very short Prince at 1B what's not to love?
  23. So, has anyone given any thought to what or if they should try to accumulate something or someone at the trade deadline? The offseason attempt to acquire a RH bat seems to be fixed in the aggregate with Torkelson and Baez sudden quality. We have so many pieces coming back off injury it almost seems like you can't evaluate yet. Maybe they want to acquire more prospects?
  24. I forgot to add Porcello to the 2006-2013 rotation. He was very good but was he good because of his supporting cast or not. I can't tell. Man certainly accumulated a lot of wins at a young age.
  25. Valverde having to throw pitch 30+ in relief quickly burned him out. I liked Phil Coke, and enjoy drunk Phil Coke when they do the reunions, but as a closer that was a temporary fix. Benoit was a good setup man. Zumaya was friggin awesome as a setup man except I attended the one game when he gave up a HR in relief against the Cubs, with all those Cub fans at Comerica...it upset me. Luckily the Tigers came back and won that game. Todd Jones was a heart attack as a closer
