  1. I have a challenge for AI. I just tried it with Google and it failed. On which calendar day each year do the Detroit Tigers have the most wins? In Google attempt it gave me "they have 31 wins this year, dudoy" Another attempt at the same question it gave me: "destruct, kill the huumaans!"
  2. Game has an ugly feel to it already.
  3. Twiniaks and Guardiaks play each other... bus crash?
  4. If you ever lived in TX you can see all the things in that commercial. I won't go political but yeah...ahem.
  5. weather reporting has been crap this season.
  6. Is this an argument? Just noting we didn't have much in the system during the good Dombrowski era. We did in 2006-2008 I'd say. You can't have a Verlander and a Granderson without having some organizational talent.
  7. and it would certainly not be for our minor league talent which Dave Dombrowski spent like a drunken sailor to acquire all his heart desired.
  8. My baseball app seems to think I live in the Lake Erie area of Pennsylvania. I think its confused.
  9. texas law hawk is all you need
  10. Yes, the dressing down that Jyn gives Cassian on the ship after her father dies, has a totally different context when he tells her has been in the rebellion since he was "seex yers old" and you know all about his being rescued by Maarva and Clem and Clem's murder by the empire and the fact that the love of his life had to leave and that he was told the "rebellions are built on hope" line by a guy who is most likely dead right now.
  11. was the deal with the Trump family as well?
  12. Scott Bentley tells me Wencel was HBP and went down bad. Hope he's ok.
  13. You can make your own story in America.
  14. Possibly he was renamed when they crossed the Irish Sea and hung in Liverpool for a while. The more English sounding name.
  15. Podcast chastisers. Currently on my phone: Tigers ones: Tiger Territory: I like those guys. I agree that Austin can be a bit stuttery but his contribution about the player's experience and the random tea he spills on the Tigers teams of his era is interesting. Motor City Metrics: I do not mind these guys at all. Rogellio is a University of Mich-Dearborn alum and about as human a person who podcasts can be about his issues with the spoken word. Chris uses the phrase "I don't know" a bit too much for a person who is commenting on things but overall...enjoyable listen. The amount of time they devote to the Minors is way beyond my abilities and patience but it serves the depth of their commentary. They at least have gone and seen the kids play. Locked on Tigers: Scott is good after a win when I'm all giddy in the morning and want to re-experience it...when its a loss i probably won't listen. Have a Seat: I only listen once in a while. I enjoy it when I do. Dan and Jason are good interviewers. I usually don't want to hear the careful stuff current players say. Political ones: Not saying names here to avoid starting crap. On the daily I will listen until I get too mad to listen any more. WWII and History ones: We Have Ways of Making You Talk: very heavy focus on British contribution with lots of snark about "ze Germans" from comedian turned WWII historian Al Murray and James Holland The Rest is History: Similar two person history pod as We Have Ways with James Holland's brother Tom and Dominick Sandbrook who cover general World History. Sometimes they get into some silly topics but they do good stuff. WWII Pod: which has a terrible lazy intro with music from the 20s not 40s and random audio clips of people saying WWII stuff, which for some reason does not actually indicate how good the podcast is which is pretty good. Michigan sports: MGOPODCAST: If for not other reason than the intro music and the weird Ann Arbor specific commercials. I like Seth, Brian and supporting cast a lot for multiple reasons. They know football better than I do and explain nuances and Seth's historical awareness is great. Strategy and geopolitics: Naval Institute Proceedings Podcast: Pound for pound a great place to go for discussion of the things going on with our military and how we would and how we did fight battles in all domains (cyber, space, air, ground, surface and subsurface ocean). Also sometimes there is an Air Force version I listen to...but cannot recall the name.
  16. Just finished the last three episodes and then right into Rogue One. The entire context of Rogue One changes after the series. Phenomenal stuff. Even the Disney sweater vests can't ruin it with shameless toy marketing. The quality of Andor is just stupendous. As good as Slow Horses. As good as The Wire. Maybe as good as The Sandbaggers.
  17. Definitely...lets move that command to someplace nobody wants to live. We could use a rotation through the tidewater area as an incentive to keep mid-career service people in between rotations to terrible warzones...but maybe we can do this in South Dakota to make Kristi Noem's nest a little warmer.
  18. She was a formidable lass.
  19. So, MLB armed forces weekend? SO, does that included the Canadian Armed Forces?
  20. Remember the nice winning streaks we had at the beginning of 2006. It was a time when Maroth and Robertson were even winning games. Feels like that right now.
