This is what having strong alliances is like.

Had an interesting discussion with co-workers who were non-Anglophile yesterday about how annoying this all was. None of these people had much appreciation for history. I took a very passive approach. You can't talk to some people about topics which they have only a blunt appreciation.

The Rule of Law matters. That's why we punish as well as we can a My Lai or the guys that Trump pardoned in the Navy SEALs. Its not perfect but part of the product is the effort and the journey. People who actually have discernment need to see that it matters.
