  1. Can i just say I find patronymics to be condescending and a bit sexist
  2. I can't wait to find out which MLB players are stone-headed idiots.

  4. Yeah, the bad tactics are as much the testosterone-addled mindset of mobster/KGB officer who prizes bold strokes and toughness over coordination and subtlety. The most egregious stuff going on is in the Donbas and Luhansk. The mongrel troops the Russians have recruited there are very unprofessional and demonstrate zero semblance of battle drill. I'm sure they are fine people otherwise.
  5. If you want to win in a modern complicated battle you need all the arms in concert. We used to describe it as a ballet. It was weird listening to guys who were more comfortable talking about their brand of dip than discussing Swan Lake talk in those terms but that was the phrase we used. You need to fight in any terrain. You need artillery to fight off infantry and air defense. You need air defense to fight off air. You need air to fight artillery and tanks. You need tanks to fight tanks. You need drones to give you an idea of what is going on and to augment your air. It requires organization to de-conflict all those "dancers" in the ballet. It requires very smart people to provide logistics for the dance. If you only use one instrument (tanks) at a time on a single axis of attack then you are going to lose a lot of stuff and people will die.
  6. This is really amazing stuff. As a professional I'm shocked at how bad these guys are.
  7. I don't think they take wheel-bound troops. They are happy to kill people like that though.
  8. This is the Marina Butina who was promoting gun fetishism with her NRA pals
  9. They nailed this prediction!
  10. welp...the war might get bigger. Russia has 140M people. That is a lot.
  11. Ugh...Mitt. BUT WAIT didn't know this.
  12. Be sure to stay there Schroeder you scum.
  13. The tweet violated twitter rules. So, its been dealt with
  14. Emotionally, I want to no-fly/no-go zone to the point where my USAF and the USN and its NATO allies are knocking the shit out of the Moscow invaders. Rationally, its beyond what we should be doing at this point. I think a series of red lines that are clearly elaborated should be discussed among the American people though. NATO territory is sacrosanct and any attack on it or members will result in a vigorous and violent response. [fairly easy. already policy] use of WMDs will result in...[what are you willing to support?] attacks on NATO member cyber networks economic support for Russia from non-NATO members
  15. Submarines aren't invulnerable either. Triremes were the best technology ever at one point. Eventually technology adapts to the revolutionary capabilities. Non-linear warfare as espoused by the digital futurists was hard pressed to deal with IEDs along main supply routes. You'd still rather be the military with the revolutionary capabilities. The Javelin missile is an IED for rich people.
  16. Say what you like, Lavrov's daughter leads a nice life. It appears to agree with her being a vacuous lay about.
  17. Dunno and probably couldn't tell you if i did. I don't think this is the Havana syndrome thing or anything too nefarious but I lack data to make that guess. Unrelated: China is heavily engaged in developing these radars to oppose our significant advantages with stealth. The F-22 will clean all the clocks when it actually enters combat.
  18. Over the horizon radar is believed to be an "effective" method of detecting stealth aircraft.
  19. That thread. For some reason representative Thomas Massie is very concerned with Marina Butina landing on her feet. Oh, those feet. Those well-manicured feet.
  20. Oh, nice. Marina Butina landed where Anna Chapman ended up. Red sparrows have a nice post-operation future.
  21. Yeah, US news reporting has really ossified around this "issue" I'm not happy with high gas prices but, don't people know there is a war on?
  22. I remember those days. Our young friend Bunker doesn't seem as subtle as Bmich who appeared to have at least sampled reality before propagating racist foreign-generated nonsense.
