  1. Macron! Sadly, I don't think this is actually going to occur.
  2. Fight for taiwan.
  3. G2, if I hit you over the head with a frying pan it will be your fault for belonging to NATO.
  4. Vladdie is tired of waiting for his war
  5. Imagine an environment where road rubble was subject to freezes worse than in Michigan. Imagine that that is in a country more corrupt than the worst of Michigan corruption by a factor of 10. Then ask: "why won't they fix the roads?" OTOH, Germany has similar climate to Michigan but roads are in decent shape. Because they built the roads properly.
  6. My buddy says the roll out will be Jaybaugh to LB while still retaining ST Ron Bellamy to WRs (we knew that one) Grant Newsome to onfield coach in some unspecified capacity No mention of Hart or Clink status
  7. for that creep
  8. They kept that secret under wraps for a while. I never had wind of it. I'm not especially plugged in. The guy I talk to at work who is sorta plugged into the scene there (more on MBB side) will have a story to tell. However, this guy was talking up Gattis on Friday before all this came down.
  9. The story on the MGOwhoknows board is that he was pulled off the recruiting trail for making the moves on recruit's moms.
  10. Schadenfreude feelings to see that the quisling American who is skating for China's olympic team is getting destroyed on Chinese social media for having a fall.
  11. They started out with some red zone issues but they eventually got to the point where they were playing 4 dimensional chess with their opponents.
  12. JJ McCarthey is the QB they need to win a National Championship. Now, getting him the other pieces including staff support will be the question.
  13. I think this is Donna Shalaylah's Miami not Stephen Ross' Miami.
  14. "Gattis had HR issues" is the rumor. Mutha-f. Dudes, keep it in your pants at the workplace or with the students or whatever.
  15. also note that below there are commenters that say that Ivashov has been in opposition to the regime for a while. Others saying its a ruse. We shall see.
  16. Tom Nichols should know. He wrote the text my class in grad school read on the Soviet armed forces.
  17. This persistent dream that an accommodation of some sort can be made is out there among even the sober diplomatic crowd like Bill Taylor. An arms control agreement would not be a bad outcome if it limits some of the very exotic new weapons coming down the pike. It wouldn't be bad to limit foreign election interference or created some rules for foreign behavior in an election. It would be great to guarantee the civil and human rights of each other's citizens too. Likelihood?
  18. So, notable that Turkey has backed Ukraine. Keep that in mind.
  19. The degree of UAV intergration of Russian and Ukrainian forces will be super important too. The US has this stuff down pat after 20 years of GWOT and we've got extensive systems of systems designed to train up operators, have trained low level units in using them as their battlefield close air support systems . This was demonstrated effectively in the recent war in Armenia/Azerbaijan when the Turkish UAV systems were decisive against (lavishly) Russian armed Armenia forces. https://nationalinterest.org/blog/buzz/has-azerbaijan’s-use-drones-karabakh-transformed-warfare-181526#:~:text=Azerbaijan forces had used Turkish Bayraktar TB2 Unmanned,armor%2C artillery%2C and tactical ground-based air defense systems.
  20. Well, Don Brown thought he was pretty smart until OSU started all them bloody crossing routes against his D.
  21. Napoleon and the Constable of France would have both been wise not to attack the British on muddy ground.
  22. again, I would caution that the frozen ground isn't as much of an issue given all the tarmac roads. Then again, watch Bald and Bankrupt's youtube channel and you'll see the Former Soviet Union is very backward as far as its road nets go.
