  1. So the Wolverines and Lions both won this weekend. As we all expected. Ho hum.
  2. I think you should have run it there. Maybe here on 3rd down here.
  3. Goff has one more big pass in him. Depends who will catch it - a Bear or a Lion.
  4. I think I’m more confident the Lions can get a TD here than I am that they can keep the Bears from getting a winning FG after they get the ball back.
  5. A Chicago mistake, not Detroit doing something good.
  6. I will regret typing this, but I think you have to kick deep and pray for a stop.
  7. Need a TD before the 2 minute warning.
  8. Goff could easily have had 5 INTs today. The near pick-6 from Chicago’s 2 and now this.
  9. 2 picks, a sack on 3rd and 2, and now a fumbled kickoff return.
  10. A phantom call that has cost the Lions 3 points.
  11. I’ never played football at a level where game film is studied, so I don’t know, but I always thought sign stealing was one of the reasons you study game film. What plays a team runs, what plays a team runs when lined up in a particular formation, what plays a team runs in particular score and down situations, what plays might be triggered after particular player substitutions, ehat are the individual strengths and weaknesses of each individual on the other team and …what plays are run after specific sideline cues/signs. I see it is all educated guesswork. And I assumed every team would try to use decoy tactics to throw future opponents off. All a big shrug to me if you had asked me a month ago.
  12. 3rd 11-win season in a row, one of which was 12 and one was 13. Hoke had 1. Carr had 2, one of which was 12. Schembechler had 2. Yost had 4, one of which was 12. Of course no one played more than 12 games in a season, including bowl games, until 2002.
  13. But then another 14 points in the first minute of the 3rd quarter. 27-0
  14. There are several MP3s floating around the Internet of full shows of Karl Haas’ Adventures In Fine Music that used to air on WJR. https://archive.org/search?query=subject%3A"Adventures+in+Good+Music"
  15. OSU looking so-so against Minnesota. 13-0 Ohio St at the half. McCord roughed up a bit on sack to end the half.
  16. The Harbaugh suspension is an issue. Michigan didn't look as good against East Carolina, UNLV, Bowling Green, Penn St. (yes) and Maryland than they did against Rutgers, Nebraska, Purdue, Michigan St. and Indiana. I don't think it is a complete coincidence.
  17. Credit everyone who has played Michigan so far this year with an extra TD for their 2022 games vs Michigan - hell, go nuts, credit MSU with an extra 5 TDs. Retroactively give OSU 15 more points for the 2020 and 2021 games.
  18. Long my favorite Michigan voice at the national level, and it's not even close.
  19. Once the Wings get good again, the Leafs will hire a P.I. firm to investigate the Wings for an elaborate network of animal cruelty towards octopi and the NHL will throw the book at them.
  20. The Leafs got to count the trip as two road games. That doesn’t seem fair. For the Wings, it counts as one road game yesterday and home game today.
  21. The Wings played a beautiful first two periods. If the game had ended after 40 minutes, I might have considered it the best win of the year. Alas …
  22. The Leafs never sit back, regardless whether they are down 2, tied, or up 1.
  23. 3-2 regulation loss. Sucky. I usually feel better this on a Friday afternoon starting the weekend.
