Coaching Hot Seat Ranking
I would have moved Saleh up to #2 or #3 - just based on the fact that Rodgers was about to put a knife in his back, but the knife was already out. They keep bringing up the 20-36 record. That first year was not on him. When a coach takes over a bad team, the first year isn't usually on them. Take away that first year and 16-23 still isn't great, but look who he had at QB - and that wasn't his fault. Jets defense is pretty good. Saleh will get another shot at HC somewhere, hopefully with a functioning franchise.
Anyway.
1. Kevin Stefanski, Cleveland - It's not his fault, but coaches take the blame
2. Doug Pederson, Jacksonville - 1 Win is not enough to ice down that seat.
3. Dennis Allen, New Orleans - An uninspired choice to begin with.
4. Nick Siriani, Philadelphia - They have very big expectations in Philly and an impatient owner
5. Mike McCarthy, Dallas - Though not during the season.
Lingering outside the hot seat room
Sean McVay, LA Rams - Not that he'll get fired, but I could see him walking away. I could also see the Rams actually trading Stafford now, though not many teams really need a QB that can afford to give up anything
Antonio Pierce, Raiders. The Raiders brand is Chaos.
Jeff Ulbrich, NY Jets. Aaron has to have someone to blame when he sucks
