  1. Oh, you mean the anniversary of the last "Moon Landing" shot on a Hollywood sound stage?
  2. I'd be okay with Verlander as long as he was willing to take a deal that was fairly low with tons of incentives
  3. That's what I am saying. This loss might actually be a GOOD thing. A thing that galvanizes them.
  4. You just come around here and **** on everything about the team. Fire Ben Johnson if every drive isn't a touchdown. Fire Aaron Glenn if he can't make a 2nd sting defense stop Josh Allen. You're a joke. You're just a troll. If the Lions stumble you'll go around banging a drum about being right because they didn't win every single game. You have the most ridiculous standard of anyone. If they aren't 17-0 then the coordinators suck and should be fired. You're just a troll.
  5. It will be the happiest day of your life. Troll.
  6. It's so annoyingly quiet.
  7. Lots of people jumping off the bandwagon at 12-2. Pathetic. The injuries are horrible, but I do think losing this game could be a blessing in disguise. Forces them to take a long look at themselves. Anyone who gives up on this team at this point is a fool. Anyone who blames Aaron Glenn for anything is an idiot. It's a loss. This is the NFL. It's not easy. The two worries I had going into this season was we wouldn't avoid the injury bug again. We didn't. My other worry is that for the first time in my life the Lions are the hunted and that means other teams measure themselves at how they play against them and are more ready to bring their best game. But I refuse to bail on this team. Not with this coaching staff. This team is as resilient as any sports team I've ever seen. And also -- this is the start of our run not the middle or end. This team is going to be very good for several years. There's a lot of work yet to be done and they're going to have to MacGuyver this ****........and I think they certainly can.
  8. Is a Rat gonna walk across your railing like at the end of The Departed ?
  9. Don't you lose hope now. This team has fought from behind all season. Every time you think they're out, they pull it back in !
  10. The Lions are 23-1 when where the same coloured tops/pants in the Campbell era. The 1 loss was the game in Dallas where the refs got paid off to screw us. (this was according to TJ Lang on the radio before the game)
  11. Does he know where he's going to? Does he like the things that life is showing him?
  12. Two Scorsese dark comedies from the mid-80's, After Hours and The King Of Comedy. Are you familiar with these films? Two of my all-time favorites, but both were bombs at the Box Office and it's probably why Scorsese didn't do many more comedies - and I think it's a shame.
  13. I went to speak to Kurt St. Thomas about a job at FNX once. The building was in Lynn. It was slightly above being condemned. It was perfect for that station, actually. It fit the whole vibe. LOL Lynn, Lynn, the city of sin. You never come out the way you went in.
  14. If you were an A's fan how pissed would you be that they are finally TRYING now. John Fisher is scum. I'm not an A's fan at all, but I sympathize with their fans here. I can;'t imagine how much it would suck for this to happen to us and how painful it would be as a fan.
  15. But think of the cost difference between Bregman and Vierling. Bregman might cost you 30 mil a year and Vierling would be, what, 4 mil after arbitration. Is Bregman THAT much better than Vierling at this point in their careers? Bregman feels like when you get a new (or new to you) car and it's your new car and it's new and this is so new and exciting and 3 weeks later it's just your car.
  16. I wonder what Bregman is asking for. $33 million per year? Correa money. 5 years ago, sure, but not now.
  17. 1,172,941 meals is the final count.
  18. Predicting Bregman to the Yankees for 7 years, $220 million
  19. I will say enjoy him while he's here, but one thing I noticed after this season is the surprising lack of manager firings after 2024.
  20. The biggest fear about losing my job would be loss of income, but a very close second would be boredom. It would drive me insane.
  21. Sure, but if he isn't stupid with his money the salary he already made this year and previously should be enough to live on. Could you imagine getting even a year of that kind of money? I know I'd be set for life. But I am not one of these foolish people that has to have the best of everything with the need to flaunt anything. I guess I've never had anything to flaunt, but if I had that kind of money I would live pretty quietly and find something to do for a living that I liked doing. If I won the lottery today I would still do my current job. I would just pay 2 or 3 assistants to help with the tedious parts.
