There is no perfect choice, but I really can't see them spending 9 figures to fix a stadium they are leaving in 3 years and they can't "remove" the roof because they have no drainage system and it rains in Western Florida almost daily in the Summer (it did when I lived in Naples.....lightning storms every single day around 3-5 pm)

11/10/24 3:30PM Rockets @ Pistons

4th win came January 15th last season. Ivey & Cade are the 4th-ranked scoring backcourt Pistons at 4-6, a tick away from 5-5 after an 0-4 start Monty Williams really sucked. -

But it's specifically-related to the Vertigo. It's got to suck to get over something only to have it haunt you. I guess Josh Pachal of the Lions just got that scare the last few weeks a cancer scare. -
Week Ten: Detroit Lions (7-1) @ Houston Texans (6-3)

Our secondary has looked really good. When are we getting Iffy back? This season? If they end up going through this stretch of @Dallas, @Minnesota @Green Bay and @ Houston with no losses, my goodness 16-1 or 15-2 is a very real possibility. I keep expecting the natural thing of losing some intensity against a team like Jacksonville or Indy or a fraying Bears team, but this team doesn't seem to ever do that. The only blemish, that Tampa Bay game, in my opinion, was from being out of sync, not having played in preseason at all and I will GLADLY trade that for an incredible run like this. This is such the opposite of my entire life as a Lions fan. And this is going to last for a few years. With this GM's drafting and scouting abilities, this may last for a decade or more. Just keep Jared Goff upright and healthy. So much of what this team does on offense is based on perfect timing that putting Hooker in there to carry it would probably be quite problematic, even though I think Hooker has a lot of talent. Brady was not a dynamic athlete, not that mobile, medium arm strength. At the end Peyton Manning could hardly move and couldn't chuck it more than 35 yards anymore, but still won a Super Bowl. It's all about Game Management. The athletic guys eventually fade. Lamar only has about 2-3 years of this kind of play in him, what will he be when he can't use his feet anymore? This is incredible. This can't be real. All that awful Karma snapped back like a rubber band in the span of 3 years. Holy **** is this fun. -

I remember what Nick Esasky said about his Vertigo. That even after it went away he would get this strange feeling like it was about to strike in certain situations and his heart would start pounding and he felt vertigo-like symptoms and it just plagued him -

There are a shocking few managerial openings this year. Miami is it, right? I am shocked....SHOCKED that Baldelli didn't get whacked in Minny. -

Prediction. 14 years, $620 million -
Senator Paul Wellstone was about to lower the boom on Ticketmaster. Sudden plane crash followed. Nobody has even tried to do anything sense..............I wonder.

Not saying the NFL is "rigged", but more and more I do believe that the field is tilted one way or the other That used to go against the Lions, but with the Lions pulling in huge numbers whenever on national tv, I do think the leaguer probably will tilt things our way. I think the league wants to see Lamar vs. Mahomes again in the AFC championship. I do think there is a "look the other way" edict for certain teams. With the Lions being the real "America's Team" we could benefit, but just seeing the Chiefs tackle False Starting several times and not getting called and then the missed calls last night, I do wonder. It is entertainment dressed up as sports.

When you see Baltimore get away with 2 blatant penalties on Cincy's 2-point conversion, it does make you wonder if something is afoot with the NFL.

Look at the last few offseasons. We always end up disappointed. I don't think that'll change because of the playoff run. We'll sign more guys than before, but it's all mid-level, short-term and prove it deals. Hope they prove me wrong, but Chris is not like his father. -

Maybe they're making room for Trinity Benson (so far the worst move Brad Holmes has made). -

Soto is going to the Mets, Dodgers or Yankees. My guess is Mets. Money is no object for the Mets. -

Who I would like them to sign? Sean Manaea - Plus lefty To go with Skubal-Olson-Mize Jack Flaherty - He liked it here, we helped get him a ring. He'll be too expensive Danny Jensen - I feel like more depth is needed at Catcher. HaSeong Kim - Solid defensive player, has versatility too, right handed counter to Sweeney/Keith. Level player Pete Alonso - Big Boomer, but I don't think the big boomers want to come to THIS ballpark. The 40 HRs at other ballparks is probably 32 here and that probably means NO. Reality feels more like...... Jose Quintana - Desperate need for a lefty starter on a short term deal Nick Pivetta - Just feels like a Tigers guy. A fine #4 or #5 Carson Kelly - They know he fits the team Paul Goldschmidt - Tork Mentor/Tork Insurance, mostly at DH. But he steeply declined last year. -

Josh Pachal is back after a cancer scare - great news for him personally, but that's going to help quite a bit. He shows some flashes, maybe he can start to shine. How can you not root for a guy like that (if the image is real). -
Where the hell are the Rays going to play? Are they actually thinking of sinking 9 figures into a stadium they are leaving in 3 years? Can't take the roof off because there is no drainage system there and if you have ever been on the west coast of Florida - one thing it does in the Summer is rain. Not for long, but when it rains it rains hard (great lightning shows too - at least there was in Naples when I lived there).

Well, I remember Nick Esasky - when he got Vertigo and he tried for a few years, but just couldn't get right. He might have been a year or two older than Austin. I have not heard a thing about Austin. I think he's just done. That's so scary - how something like that can just derail you in the prime of your life. It's like having an Aneurysm. It can happen anytime anyplace. -

Seeing Top 50 Free Agent predictions of people signing with the White Sox, A's and Rays. Why would a north-of-30 Free Agent want to go to the White Sox. Horrible team. Owner either going to sell or possibly move them. The A's will be playing at a minor league stadium for the next 3 years and is the Vegas thing even confirmed yet? And where the hell are the Rays going to play? A minor league stadium in Tampa or Orlando, or will the share the stadium with the Marlins in Miami. They're surely not sinking 9 figures into fixing a stadium they are leaving in 3 years, are they? -

One guy I can see the Tigers bringing back is Carson Kelly. And please, just end the Baez thing. It's not his back or hip or anything else that causes him to swing at everything. That's a mental thing. He just lost it, that's all. It happens. A bit cursed with a guy's career ending from vertigo and another's complete game falling off a cliff, but let's be rid of all of it now. -

Saw some list that has the Tigers as one of 10 teams that could be in for Soto. Are you kidding me?
