I got "banned" from Comerica Park one year when I had seats right next to the Tiger dugout. Alex Sanchez was on second base.......next player comes up and hits the ball to deep right center. Alex continues standing at second base, doesn't move, then realizes the ball is over the RF'ers head and then starts jogging to third and then stops halfway and runs back to second where the hitter is standing and he gets thrown out. Juan Samuel was the third base coach and he tried to get Sanchez' attention. Anyway, I let Sanchez have it on the way to the dugout. I didn't swear, I just said LOOK AT YOUR THIRD BASE COACH? YOU SHOULD HAVE SCORED! THIS IS WHY THIS TEAM IS TERRIBLE .........so they "banned" me. I was back a week later, they've never refused me (maybe the NFL has facial recognition software). I wondered that about the cup throwing guy in the Pistons game. Banned for life, but honestly, if he dressed a little different and didn't wear a hat, would they really recognize him? (by the way, he and Ron Artest are now friends) Banning this guy is ridiculous. He did nothing controversial. Maybe the NFL has decided that views of their stadiums are copyrighted or something. I'm not saying in games, but maybe get a look in practice just to see if it's a possibility - not for this year, but for the future. With what seems like a glut of outfielders, it could help him - but in the future.

This is it for Tork. Either he gets this fixed now or it's probably time to call him a bust. I was hoping he could give us Jason Thompson-like numbers at some point, but that seems far-fetched now. Maybe its time to consider getting Malloy or Vierling some reps at first base. Gotta keep Matty V in the lineup every day now, until he cools off. Drafting a hitter 1-1 who can't catch up to a fastball is a pretty big fail, but I also believe that at least 3/4 of the league would have taken him first overall. Can their coaches fix him? As far as Meadows goes - he deserves another shot because of his hitting now at Toledo, but we also have to consider just how much better the pitching is in the majors, so maybe it's not real. Maybe there is no fixing Tork. What was he doing last year that changed this year? You see this kind of drop off when a player gets older, not now, not at this age.

Okay, hold on a minute. I'm a lefty and I love my country, that doesn't involve just blindly saying we're right all the time. I think the IDEA of America would make it the best country, but it's a con. We could be so much better. And it isn't all the fault of the leaders and controllers - we've become intellectually lazy as a society. It's why we got Trump vs. Biden in 2020. They were the most famous already and that's it. It's why Jesse Ventura and Arnold won elections. We get what we deserve there. And thanks to the internet, that trend is not going to turn around. People learn about the world in the span of 300 characters at a time instead of getting to the heart of things and get a deeper meaning. People protest something because they believe it's worth fighting for. That's not hate. It turns to hate when that protest turns to violence. We could be so much better. It's all right here. We have the resources, infrastructure and climate to accomplish anything, but our own ignorance, greed and vanity keep getting in our own way. Those are the things the power brokers set in motion and we keep falling for it. If we stopped fighting over dumb little things and stopped and saw what they were doing to us, we might actually unite on some levels and change things for the better. But we can't even significantly change gun laws when 20 first graders get murdered at school (At least the Oakland Country prosecutors said "enough'). And you show me someone who goes around waving a flag all the time and probably 7 times out of 10 they're a phony, trying to sell you something. That's not patriotism. Putting flags on t-shirts and soda cans is not patriotism, it's salesmanship AND A VIOLATION OF FLAG CODE. If someone has to point out to you how patriotic they are, they're covering up something else. Like Christians who have to tell you all the time they are Christians, when their actions should signify it without explanation.
