Whatever happened to Mitchell Miller. The kid the Coyotes drafted who was exposed as a horrible racist bully in high school. Anyone ever give him a second chance?

The Eduardo Rodriguez Situation.
Motor City Sonics replied to Motor City Sonics's topic in Detroit Tigers
Could the Tigers sue him? I mean, we don't know what he's going through, but if it really is something about marital issues, I'm sorry............Millions of people and dozens of ballplayers have personal problems and they still manage to play. Hell, this guy's a starting pitcher, I am sure he could hammer out a deal with the Tigers where he would only need to be with them the day before and day of his starts, but he just disappeared like a fart in the wind (thanks Warden Norton). I know why Al went public yesterday, because they want rid of this guy and they want the world to know that this is all on him. I don't side with Al often, but I do on this one. Contracts go to ways................I'd love to have a contract where I get paid and just not do the work. I know, I should work for Detroit Water & Sewage. I don't know the wording of anyone's contract but if he's just ghosting them because life is tough, then to hell with him. And if he is doing this to get out of his contract with the Tigers he and his agent are pretty stupid because I don't know that anyone is going to pay him anything close to what he's making after pulling this stunt. I hope it's not a health issue. I hope it's not someone in danger back home in Venezuela, but damn it, nobody is talking to the Tigers. Good bye. Don't want him back then. And he was starting to pitch pretty well and we sure could use a staring pitcher. -

He could be dealing with depression and macho athletes wouldn't like to admit that. I don't know. The whole thing's odd but it seems like the Tigers coming out and saying he's not reaching back is a way to lay the groundwork of voiding the contract. I don't think he'll pitch again this season. He's been away from the game for almost a month now and in order get in pitching shape now it would probably take at least 3 weeks of building up his strength and that's if he came back today. A lot of people are really tagging Avila on this one but I'll give him a break here, I think this is all E-Rod's doing. -
By the way, he's resigned, but he's not leaving.........................just like someone else we know. Doubt there will be any violence over it.

Britain's version of Trump................a clown show that never should have been in that spot. Now, lets get rid of the bastard in Brazil (are they even allowed to vote there anymore?).

He was just another one of the kids in his mind........

Thought, at this point, it deserved it's own thread. First of all, I hope the guy is safe and I hope his family is in good health. But the Tigers coming out publicly and saying he's ghosting them is very interesting and it makes me believe that his life is not in any kind of danger or that nobody in his family was sick, because I think they'd tell us that they are aware of the situation, but they seem as baffled as we are. Maybe saying anything is the wrong move (Al does tend to talk a little too much). We might not know what is really happening and it's really none of our business, but now you start getting to the point where if this guy isn't even bothering to respond to the Tigers, what are their options? Can they void this contract? Quite honestly, if this really is marital problems, then ghosting your employer for this long seems like it would be cause to void it. If it really is that and he's acting like this, I wouldn't want him back now. I don't recall ever hearing anything quite like this for the Tigers or any other team. The only thing close to it was when they sent Rondon home. Maybe this is why the Tigers are so transparent with the lack of two-way communication. I think they are trying to lay the groundwork for voiding this contract. Just another mess is this disaster season. Shame, because when it started warming up he started pitching well and no team has ever needed starting pitching help like the 2022 Detroit Tigers. Riley's broken foot really was an omen.

Diego had one guy that he didn't like. Down the street from me. He never growled or snapped at him but when the guy reached to pet him Diego backed away very deliberately like "don't touch me" and believe me, he NEVER did that with anyone else - he loved meeting people. Well, this guy was a drunk and he got arrested a couple of times for beating his wife. Dogs sense that stuff. Haven't seen that guy for at least 3 years, but the wife/girlfriend and her kids still live there - so he's either in jail, dead or totally out of the picture.

Dogs just make things better. Taking the folks who fear dogs out of the equation (who knows what happened to them or what they were told about dogs when they were younger), but people who don't like dogs, I don't know that I can trust them. Not talking about people who prefer cats, because most of them like dogs too. Talking about the kind of people who can't connect with a dog or refuse to connect with a dog. I'll side with the dog almost every time. Dogs are a gift, they are what people should aspire to be.

He stopped pressing. He can relax and just play ball now.

Just waiting for the vet to come by to euthanize my dog. It was a 5:30 appointment and he was right on time, thank goodness because waiting for it was agonizing. He was a border collie, he was 17 and he couldn't see very well and he really couldn't walk anymore - and that's no life for a dog, especially his breed. He was my best friend. He was my dog for 15 years and he was perfect. I wish I could clone him. I am very sad now that its over but also quite relieved. He couldn't continue like that, he tried to mask it, but I knew he was depressed. Dogs are incredible that way. My neighbors, who are from Mexico saw me carry his body out to the Pet Passages van and they gave me a shrub to plant where his grass hill to the porch is. A very nice gesture. Very thoughtful. The whole neighborhood liked him and more people knew his name than mine. When I take the hill down tomorrow they're gonna know he passed. I am sure they expected it was coming soon.

Thanks for giving me something good Tigers, on what is the hardest and most agonizing day of my life.

On Diego's 11th birthday. It was the first time I had given him a haircut and we did them at home from that point forward. He hated the buzzing of the clippers but I bribed him with Cherrios. He loved Cherrios. Million-Watt Smile. In his honor, another dog is going to get a great life soon in a house that isn't right without a dog. He rescued me six weeks after the passing of my previous dog Tony and he helped me get over it. I won't wait that long this time. My dog is out there somewhere, I just have to find him now. 5,412 amazing days for 2 miserable ones. That's a good trade. R.I.P. Mighty D.

Another pitcher injury..................Go figure................... God dammit. Never seen anything like this. I guess Will Vest gets his slot back. Cisnero won't be far behind.

If someone hits the health care company sign does that mean free Colonoscopies with a copy of the box score?

Tomorrow at 5:30. I just wish he'd gone in his sleep. The last dog had a stroke, it was an on the spot decision. The dog before that got hit by a car. He still looks at me and tries to look comfortable even though he's in pain. At least he's still eating. He'll get a steak for dinner tonight.

All the 4th of July really means to me now is that it's a day off work. I'm not celebrating this country. It's not worth the effort anymore. We throw away or burn crops while people starve. We take rights away from women and minorities and gay people. Black people are targeted by cops and die over stupid shit like a counterfeit 20 or a air freshener hanging from their mirror. Just a lot of lies and propaganda. Ireland is considered one of the safest countries in the world from violent and non-violent crimes. 50 years ago that was not the case at all. It's when they stopped listening to the lunatic fringe - and stopped with the phony patriotism crap - they turned it around. I wish I could move there.
