Hey, Kamala, if you ever have a comedian at a rally, don't have a Roast. Please don't invite Jeff Ross.

not really buying it. Clicks.........Views........Fear..........Click this. They're scaring the hell out of my Mom. She's 83, I would love to see her witness a female President. What that would mean to her.

The problem was Clinton was relaxed, and chameleon-like when he talked with people. He had that thing that connected with people whether it was a large crowd or a small group. Gore didn't have that. Gore was stiff, sounded rehearsed, sounded unnatural and if he had just a little bit of charisma he wins in 2000 (he likely actually won Florida, but he put the country first, damn him). Gore just didn't posses natural charm. the Union Label song fiasco (said his dad sang that to him as a kid even though the song came out in the 70's), it ate him up, ridiculously, that would not have touched Clinton. He would have twisted that in to something that helped him. Only other politician who could politick nearly as well as Slick Willie was Coleman Young. When he argued with Bill Bonds, he knew exactly what he was doing, he and Bonds were pals. Their fights were as staged as wrestling.

He could have quieted the thing that very day, but he thought it was funny. A crack about a place with a lot of brown people. Ha Ha Ha. He let it fester for several days before he made his "I love Puerto Rico" remark. Nobody bought it then, he waited way too long. When people show you who they are - believe them.

Longtime Michigan AD Don Canham famously said "never turn a 1-day story into a 2-day story" Of course he (and Bo) also covered up Dr. Robert Anderson's perverted ways for over a decade and took it to his grave for others to shovel out of. The amount of money MSU could have saved if they only owned up to Nasser. The amount of money and futures that Snyder could have saved if he just admitted he f'ed up on the water in Flint. The cover up is always worse. You know, I think it's rather safe to assume that every man that has money and power is probably a bit of a scumbag in their real life. Most people expect that. If you had a really wealthy person who was a saint, nobody would believe it. Get in front of it. When Clinton said "I didn't inhale" it cause it to be a much bigger story. When Obama was asked the same if he inhaled he said "that was the point." When Gore was asked if he smoked pot he said "I was in Vietnam in the 60s, of course I did, we all did" There was no story after that. Asked and answered. Loved what the Dolphins exec said after they drafted Laremy Tunsil after the pot gas mask video came out on draft night. Exec said "A college kid smoking pot.......same thing I did in college, how could I judge" The controversy ended right then and there.

Actually, Bill Clinton changed all that. I mean, if you remember it was gotcha, after gotcha, after gotcha and it STRENGTHENED him. It was incredible. Never saw anyone bat away so many scandals and just keep on truckin' (until Trump). Maybe it's the underdog factor Funny thing is that Trump got 34 felonies for something he never needed to do. His cheating wouldn't have mattered one bit with voters. Honestly, I don't give a crap how someone lives their personal life. Someone wants to cheat on their spouse, the only question I have is Does it affect their job? Sure, it makes them blackmailable, but he got 34 strikes for something that his voters don't care about. Nobody politicked better than Bill Clinton. He was a master at it. It's a natural gift. If Hillary at 1/10% of that, she'd have been the first Madame President. Trump is different. It's not politicking it's good it, it's Archie Bunkering that he's good at and some people love that. They tend to be garbage, but hope some of y'all's confidence is well-placed. As far as the MSG rally. That's the October surprise, but I have to ask. "You're surprised that this bunch is racist? Where ya been since the Civil Rights movement?"

I wish I had your confidence. 2016 has us all shaken, but you know what - the young vote was not enamored with Hillary and we had no real fear of Roe v Wade being overturned. But I do remember someone, either George Will or Bill Kristol saying overturning Roe v. Wade would be a huge gift to Democrats and so far it has been. I really am hoping by a steamroll. I really am hoping this is actually locked up before 11pm - even before California, Washington and Oregon come in. When the Lions beat Dallas and Green Bay the goal was to drub them so badly that not even crooked and stupid refs could make a difference. I hope for such a trouncing that none of his caterwauling about being cheated will even matter I hope to see our new President and shake her hand I hope. (if she somehow got 450 EVs, he's still shriek about it). He can shriek about it from Mar-A-Lago with his little ankle monitor for the next 2 years. If he has single marble left in 2028, he'll run again and he'll end up their nominee and there's nothing they can to do stop it.

Funny that the first time Joe Biden ran for President he dropped out over a scandal. That he quoted a British politician without giving credit. That's it. Man, the bar was so much higher in 1988.

You know it, Neighbor.

Like Bowfinger. If the script's amount of K's can be divided into 3, Kit Ramsey wouldn't do the movie. LOL.

Think about where this team was just 5 years ago. The fans had no hope The players HATED their coach They FOUND ways to lose Nobody wanted to play here This turnaround is beyond stunning and the thing that makes it the most stunning is that this is built to last for a long, long time. With this GM, you have the confidence that a terrible season would be 8-9, not 3-14. They just find ways, no matter what.

Week Ten: Detroit Lions (7-1) @ Houston Texans (6-3)
Motor City Sonics replied to MichiganCardinal's topic in Detroit Lions
If they want to go 16-1 they have to make a move for a pass rusher - at the least. They won't get away with not pressuring the QBs forever. -

On Paper is the key. Something sideways will happen, and I kind of hope it happens in the last 4 weeks. Something that reminds them that they are beatable, because in order to win it all, you need a little bit of that fear in the back of your head. -

Welcome to the Lions, Za'Darius Smith (it's going to happen) -

I don't think they're going 16-1, so they're gonna lose one of these games, right? Right? Now 15-2 --- that's a lock ! By the way TP, 6-11 is not possible now. You may have missed that one. -
Are the Commanders actually the 2nd best team in the NFC? NFL Power Rankings 1 - Detroit Lions - The Lions would destroy KC right now. 2 - Kansas City 3 - Buffalo Bills 4 - Pittsubrgh Stillers 5 - Baltimore Raves 6 - Washington Commanders 7 - Minnesota Vikings 8 - Philadelphia Eagles 9 - Green Bay Packers 10 - Houston Texans 32 - New Orleans - They earned it 31 - Carolina 30 - NY Giants 29 - New England 28 - Las Vegas 27 - Tennessee 26 - Jacksonville 25 - Cleveland 24 - Dallas 23 - Miami

Because none of the coaches (Indy, Minny, Tampa & KC) are in jeopardy NEW HOT SEAT RANKING !!! 1. Dennis Allen, New Orleans. Wouldn't shock me to see it happen tomorrow, but 2 more weeks until the bye. They've fallen off a cliff. 2. Doug Pederson, Jacksonville. He may survive the season, but they were supposed to be the AFC version of the Lions. They've gone the wrong way 3. Mike McCarthy, Dallas. I wouldn't expect Jerry to make a move mid-season, unless they loss 3 or 4 in a row. Well....they've got Philly, Houston and DC next. If they get hammered at home against Philly, it might happen. Mike Zimmer has Head Coaching experience and can certainly fill in as an Iterim. $60 million for Dak Prescott? Yikes 4. Kevin Seftanski, Cleveland - A Year after winning Coach Of The Year? Yep. Cleveland had expectations. 5. Antonio Pierce, Las Vegas - It's a mess. But that's what you get for hiring that jackass Josh McDaniel. You get pain, long after he's gone. I don't think Brian Daboll is in jeopardy this year. If the Bears collapse Matt Erberflus is certainly on this list.
