I'm finding out how broken health care is in this country. I find myself having to go to the marketplace. I fill out and application and it's not making me check for Medicaid. Between the four months salary I already made, six months severance, a bunch of unused PTO, and unemployment, I could make more this year than I did last year. I have no idea if the state received my request for Medicaid. I don't think I would qualify. Now I got to wait without health coverage and potentially miss my special enrollment window. I have the money, I know the plan I want, I just want to buy it. If I were in Canada, I wouldn't have to deal with this.
