That's always been the case for states like Illinois and New York, and they still turned out for Biden and Clinton. One theory that seems to be making a lot of sense right now is that Abbott busing migrants worked. There was a rightward shift in New York City and Chicago.

Have to see when the votes are tallied, but I'm guessing there was low turnout in the big blue states like California and New York. She's only +17 in California right now. New Jersey is only +5 and Illinois +8. I wonder if Dem voters moved to Trump in those states, or they just didn't turn out? For instance, with 91% counted in Illinois, there's about 1 million fewer votes, most of them coming off Harris total.

It seems like the Haley Republicans for Harris was a myth. This goes back to the old saying, Republicans fall in line and Democrats fall in love. Republicans consistently fell in line with Trump. Democrats through Biden overboard at the first hint of trouble. Harris basically fell back to Clinton and 2012 Obama level support and Trump held onto his increases.

As it stands, she has 15 million fewer votes than Biden. She underperformed blue states and red states alike. I feel like if there was hacking, it would have been isolated to the swing states.
