  1. I think the 2000 loss to the Bears at the Silverdome on a last second FG that knocked the Lions out of the playoffs should be up there. That ushered in the Matt Millen era. I would say that loss ranks second.
  2. By the looks of it, it looks like it was New York police. Guess they needed to get in on the fun.
  3. They left the 12 year old daughter alone on the streets of New York.
  4. The 49ers rested their starters the final game against a Rams team that also rested their starters. If the #1 seed is on the line, the 49ers don't rest their starters and likely win that game. It was an unlikely scenario the Lions get home field advantage.
  5. NFC Championship game against the 49ers. If the Lions don't make a Super Bowl, that is going to be a huge what if. It was there for the taking. They had a lead in the second half and looked the better team. A couple drops and a botched handoff did them in. A lot of those regular season losses don't really alter the franchise like losing that NFC Championship. Even beating Dallas in the playoffs in 2014, they likely lose to Seattle the next round but it at least gets the monkey off their back.
  6. Trump of course is saying he's going to put a stop on funding to California. Newsom seemed to suggest that California could withhold paying federal taxes. Can they do that? If they can, California needs to start flexing its muscle.
  7. I don't think MAGA is strategic at all. They're just nuts.
  8. Of course there was a policy fight. No Republican voted for it and he had to fight with his own party to get Manchin and Sinema onboard. A lot of the spending was expanding subsidies for Obamacare, prescription drug caps, Medicare drug negotiation, and record spending on climate change.
  9. They had 60 senators for like two months and ended up losing Massachusetts. Biden got more passed with 50 senators.
  10. The last time they were at 2008 levels was the 1960's. Gerrymandering alone will ensure they don't get to that level.
  11. I asked John James who he's got in the big beautiful breakup, the Nazi or the pedophile. I predicted Nazi since he likes to use swastikas in campaign ads.
  12. I'm sure there will be exceptions for athletes but I wouldn't trust it. I hope a lot of countries boycott. Trump will then blame California.
  13. David Plouffe joined Harris campaign and muzzled Walz and his weird schtick which was working. He then blamed the loss on Biden. Dems need to get rid of the Obama bros and let guys like Walz use their folksy charm. I'm not even sure if policy mattered in 1993 either. Clinton won his fair share on his charisma.
  14. Biden learned the hard way it was never about policy.
  15. Khanna's district is Silicon Valley. He held a fundraiser with David Sacks too. He's a tech bro.
  16. Remember that time Musk challenged Zuckerberg to an MMA fight and Zuckerberg accepted and Musk backed down? That's what we are heading towards here.
  17. Well, Trump used to be a Democrat and wanted more for himself so that checks out. Once they get more for themselves, they turn Republican so others can't get more.
  18. 2024 was the first Republicans won the popular vote in 20 years. Dems are actually winning as we speak. The issue with the Dems is they keep chasing this white male vote while bleeding blacks and Hispanics.
  19. What? The incumbent party always struggles in mid terms. Republicans got wiped out in 2018 with Trump in office. Dems literally gained a senate seat in 2022.
