    That's why I wanted him to retire. I wanted his last pass to be an interception by the Lions that eliminated him. I also wanted him to be a footnote to Tom Brady when he entered the Hall of Fame.

    After the season Amani had in 2021, no one would have blamed Holmes had he signed him to an extension. This reminds me, has Holmes signed anyone to an extension before their final season?

    Will Harris wasn't that bad last year and he gives you flexibility. I'm not surprised by the total amount of the contract but rather that it is all guaranteed. I figured like half that amount would be guaranteed.

    The Lions renegoiated and didn't restructure so it seems Harris took a pay cut to stay.

    I don't think any team will trade up to 6 for him. He may even be there at 18. I think teams can look past the drag racing but if you have work ethic concerns and gain a lot of weight and don't run a 40, that will scare off a lot of teams.

    I'm pretty lazy and a slacker, in fact I should be working right now instead of posting on this forum, but I work hard to secure the job before slacking.

    I'm also told an extra 1st was sent to the Lions to offload Goff's contract. It's 50/50 whether Aaron Rodgers plays in 2024. The Jets will be going through this drama every year until he finally retires or they just cut ties with him. The Jets really have a good team and just need a QB to plug in. I would have signed Carr and kept my picks.

    Fluccuating by 9 pounds is not out of the ordinary for someone who weighs over 300 pounds, but this guy is auditioning to be a professional athlete. To gain 9 pounds in a couple weeks and then don't run a 40 is a huge red flag when your work ethic was already being questioned.

    Harris doesn't appear to be going anywhere.

    Not sure why people want to trade Swift now. He's the perfect compliment to Montgomery.

    Not really. The Lions run a lot of 11 personnel. In today's NFL you need 3 good receivers. St Brown is your slot guy, Williams is your deep outside threat, they need an X receiver on the outside who can make contested catches. I also don't see Williams as a high volume receiver but more of their big play threat. Probably tops out at about 65 catches.

    By all accounts Montgomery is a good clubhouse guy and fits the kneecap culture. I don't think it will change the locker room. It's really about fan attachment to Jamaal Williams.
