  1. I think both Bernie Sanders and MAGA are grifters. These presidential runs have been financially beneficial for Sanders. He makes it clear he's not a Democrat until he wants to run for president. He's accomplished nothing but name post offices. How many post offices are left in Vermont? He constantly undermines Democrats and brought us the likes of Tulsi, Nina Turner and Briahana Joy Gray and David Sirota. Joe Manchin has done more for climate than Sanders. Bernie Sanders tried to sabotage the IRA by sticking in amendments who knew wouldn't pass but forced Democrats to vote no on things they support. This allows Bernie Sanders to grift on his moral superiority and show that the establishment voted against all these things. Hillary was right about him.
  2. Hooker is only 3 years younger than Goff. He'll basically miss the 1st year. He'll be around the same age Goff was when he first came to the Lions by the time he's ready to play. If we're going QB, do it at the top of the draft or not at all. I would rather try to get a RG in the 3rd round.
  3. John Dorsey, who drafted Mahomes, works in the Lions front office.
  4. They're just grifters who attack Democrats and accomplish nothing. They really don't want to accomplish anything because that be counterproductive to their outrage politics.
  5. I like the idea of European socialism. It's unfortunately Bernie Sanders and the squad completely ruined that.
  6. Josh Allen was worse (not from a W-L perspective) through his first two seasons. I think I've seen enough from Lawrence to go into a 3rd year with him. I think after year 3 is when you start to question Lawrence.
  7. The Rams are the football version of the baseball team who trades their farm system for veterans to win now. It did get them a championship but there is going to be a rebuilding phase. They've gone 5 years without a 1st round pick. They traded two 1st rounders for Goff and have essentially traded 4 1st rounders for Stafford plus gave him a huge contract. I have to imagine they can only manipulate the cap so much. They have a lot of money locked into players that are approaching the wrong side of 30. The good thing about football is that rebuilds shouldn't take as long as baseball. After this pick they finally get some 1st round picks.
  8. Never a libertarian. Always a Democrat. I even proudly voted for Virg Bernero.
  9. This is who wants to be leader of the Michigan GOP.
  10. It's looking like Russell Wilson is being exposed as a fraud. Now we also get to see more how weird he is. Teams may start pumping the brakes on trading for vets. I think the Watson trade for Cleveland can go south as well.
  11. I posted it so we could mock and laugh at Bears fans. If Holmes did that he should be fired.
  12. The team we have to look out for is Denver. They are tied with LA but the Rams hold the slimmest of margins in opponents win percentage so they are ahead of Denver. Denver has a brutal schedule so they can theoretically lose out. The only easy game they have is against the Rams. Outside of that, they still play Kansas City twice, Arizona, Chargers and Baltimore on the road.
  13. Chicago and Los Angeles both have 3 wins. Chicago has one more loss since they haven't had their bye week. As it stands, if LA and Chicago end up tied in the standings, LA would have the higher pick. The Bears don't actually need to win for the Rams to get to #2. Tie breakers for the draft is based on strength of schedule. The bears do have a tough remaining schedule, so their strength of schedule is only going to go up which also means they are more likely to lose out.
  14. Well here's something to think about.
  15. I would not be surprised if we saw Harris take his last snap with the Lions. They can save $6 million by cutting him this offseason.
  16. I didn't say anything of the sort you worthless liar. I'll spell it out for you but I'm not sure the point since you will just make up something down the road because you are obsessed with me. Goff is good enough to win like Alex Smith or Jimmy Garapolo. You do not need to replace him this draft. You can build a roster around Goff that's good enough to make the playoffs next year and have assets to trade for a QB next year when Caleb Williams may be available or someone else. It's the approach Kansas City took and their GM just happens to be in the Lions front office. To answer your question, it's both. They can win now and draft their future QB next year with picks they acquire this year. Now you can go fuck off.
  17. I'm fine with it. They can take the best defensive player available regardless of position. I have a feeling if Chicago stays at 2, Anderson doesn't make it past them. They need a pass rusher in the worst way. I still like a trade down with a team like Carolina where you can still stay in the top 10 and pick up additional 1st next year.
  18. They also have no incentive to play their franchise QB they have invested heavily in.
  19. Watching this Eagles game, and they were at almost the same exact spot as the Lions were at the end of the game, with 30 seconds on the clock after having receiving the ball before the 2 minute warning. Hurts throws a pass in almost the same location as the Goff pass but the receiver actually adjusts to the ball and catches it for a TD. Green Bay gets the ball back with 13 seconds left. No one complaining about clock management or play calls. Funny what happens when everyone executes.
  20. The Rams are up to #3 now with a good shot at #2. I would seriously consider trading down and acquiring picks next year for a potential QB.
