I think because the Lions drafted a RB high that they just throw out need and draft BPA. To the Lions, RB was a position of need. LB was also a position of need, and so was TE. I think because those aren't premium positions, people think they draft BPA.

Looking at Watson's contract, it's literally impossible to move him. He has a $72 million cap hit this year. His dead cap hit would be $172 million. Cleveland would be $99 million over the cap if they moved Watson. It's staggering how bad the contract is.

I know this isn't a popular opinion, but I miss the 00's when teams could play defense. I was totally fine seeing a team score 56 points for the entire game in the playoffs.
