  1. If Peter Meijer needs work now, the Meijer in Warren always needs more cashiers.
  2. It shows enthusiasm on the Democratic side. Whitmer was uncontested. Slotkin was uncontested. There really wasn't much to vote for on the Democratic side. The Republicans had a contested primary and yet Barrett still got fewer votes. I suppose it is possible a lot of Republicans voted for governor and left the rest of the ballot blank.
  3. I think he is a fraud. He was a Republican in 2008 and in 2018 he asked a strategist what he should run as. Since the tide favored Democrats, he ran as a Democrat. He pumped the city of Detroit with ads and a bunch of low information voters voted for him. In true Democrat fashion, the Democrats couldn't consolidate around one candidate. You had about 8 other candidates splitting votes. Now Detroit is going to have no black representation in congress for the first time in about 70 years.
  4. Shri Thanedar won. That's a disappointment.
  5. California has that system and in the Los Angeles mayoral race you have a Republican masquerading as a Democrat. It allows him to make it to the general so that system can easily be gamed. If I have a favorite candidate, I don't see why I would also vote for another candidate who has an equal chance of defeating that candidate. I suppose I could just vote for one candidate.
  6. I guess in this system I would just vote for my favorite candidate and the candidate I feel would be the easiest to defeat.
  7. Liz Cheney is asking Democrats in Wyoming to switch party registration and vote for her. Are the same people upset at Democrats voting in the Republican primary in Michigan going to be upset?
  8. Democrats getting blamed for Republicans nominating a Republican.
  9. I think it works in states like Michigan, but if I lived in Wyoming, I would register as a Republican and vote for Cheney but then vote for the Democrat in the general.
  10. Been reading on Twitter Democrats in the district who voted for Meijer but intend on voting for Scholten in the general. Scholten was unapposed, as was Whitmer, so nothing for Democrats to vote for. I bet a lot of Democrats voted for Gibbs.
  11. Not looking good for Andy Levin. Goes to show the yard sign polling doesn't work. I was in Huntington Woods to sign the abortion petition and Levin signs far outnumbered Stevens signs. It would make sense giving Huntington Woods is a Jewish city I suppose.
  12. Whitmer is unopposed and has 4 times as many votes as all the Republicans combined. In going to assume it's because of early/mail voting.
  13. I voted in the Democratic primary. I was literally the only one at the polling place. Only thing of note to vote for was my congressional district. I voted for Carl Marlinga since he stands the best chance of beating John James. Pretty much state senate and house were unopposed.
  14. I wasn't expecting someone almost 25 who can't even hack it in AA and will likely never even play in the majors. At least give me the erratic hard throwing righty who shows he may have the potential to miss bats.
  15. A 24 year old pitcher in AA who has an ERA north of 7. I think I would have rather just kept Fulmer.
  16. Maybe she stumbles on one of his Better Call Saul ads on Youtube. That is after all how the son found out about Saul.
  17. I'm starting to blur Better Call Saul and Breaking Bad. I know there was a scene in one of the two shows where Gale is setting up the lab and Gus asks him about the blue meth and Gale talks about how pure it is and fears he can't replicate it. I feel this is the moment Gus decides to get Walt to cook for him and puts Mike out to make it happen who works through Saul. I also believe at this time Tuco is dead and the cousins are after Walt.
  18. Is that gas station where Francesca receives the call from Saul the same one Jesse was at when he exchanged meth for gas with that clerk?
