  1. Trump didn't realize in 2016 we were going to be dumb enough to elect him.
  2. This guy gives stoners a bad rep.
  3. I decided to watch Breaking Bad again and Better Call Saul. On BCS, the first episode of each season opens with a Gene scene. Season 6 did not open with a Gene scene which leads me to believe the series will end with Gene. Lalo certainly has to do die in BCS. Gus antagonizes Hector after killing Eladio that all Salamancas are dead which means Lalo is out of the picture. Speaking of Eladio's death, I noticed the same bottle of liquor used to poison Eladio and his crew was the same bottle Saul buys where he runs into the judge with the broken arm. When Saul is kidnapped he says it wasn't me it was Ignacio and then says Lalo didn't send you? Prominent characters who were in BCS and not in Breaking Bad have died such as Chuck, Nacho and Howard. It makes me think Kim and Lalo are next. I also have a feeling Gene is going to die as well. Perhaps he ends up being set on fire like Chuck.
  4. So Buttigieg bought a vacation home in Traverse City. He can establish residency in Michigan and run for say Stabenow's senate seat if she retires. Michigan is more hospitable for Buttigieg than Indiana.
  5. I know of one good guy with a gun in a grocery store in Buffalo who was killed by a bad guy with a gun.
  6. One easy solution would be to make it optional. During the pandemic, my company started hiring out of state workers. Now they seem to be hedging on full remote and employees like myself who have over 10 years with the company are being forced back into the office while the newer employees get to be full time remote. Our company has an internal instant messaging system. I can instant message anyone in the company and replaces the need for idle chit chat around the office. We had one of our first meetings since we were required to return to the office. Only the supervisor was there. The entire team learned how to game the system. The supervisor is also not a fan of forced return to office. She's just carrying water for the higher ups.
  7. Are you aware that the Uvalde shooter attempted to purchase a gun at 17 and was thwarted because he legally couldn't purchase one? It wasn't until the day he was legally able to purchase one did he buy one and shoot up a school. It's fascinating that every developed country with gun control does not have this issue. Funny how that works.
  8. Are you sure they weren't robbing the place?
  9. Even scarier is it still doesn't motivate the Democrats to get out and vote.
  10. The point is, states like Texas want a teacher shortage. It's easier to control an ignorant population. It's why fascist countries always purge the most educated.
  11. The grocery store did have an armed guard. He was shot and killed because he was out gunned. He was also a former police officer not trained by the Uvalde Police department so I assume he had more skills and instincts with dealing with an active shooter than your average teacher.
  12. If Twitter is any indication, Democrats are going to stay home this midterm because Biden hasn't cancelled all of their student debt nor has been able to compel Manchin to vote for his entire agenda in two years. At least as a heterosexual white male, I won't be affected as much as others during the Republican take over.
  13. Some obvious issues with teachers carrying that come to mind is what happens when a 1st grader gets a hold of a gun? These teachers will have to have it holstered on them at all times? It would be useless locked in a desk. What happens with the high school teacher since students know they are carrying guns and a couple 17 year old football players decide to jump the teacher to get a hold of their gun?
  14. They're known for trolling MAGA. I wouldn't doubt he spoke to dozens of people and only posted the most insane one.
  15. Wasn't this suppose to flip the script? I remember Trump and Republicans were suppose to flip the script on Democrats when Trump only threatened to fire Sessions but wasn't actually going to do it.
  16. Hummers were expensive before and the Hummer is a niche vehicle. GM's true EV truck is going to be the Silverado EV. An f150, full optioned, can approach 6 figures. The demand for the F150 Lightning has been strong. Not sure if it is people new to Ford and/or trucks or not. The ICE F150 is still going to be where Ford gets its bread buttered.
  17. My company is starting to require people return to the office. There is no vaccine requirement. Now that people will be returning to the office, the company is offering an additional 5 days of COVID related sick time. They never offered this the entire two years we were remote. They are literally acknowledging that their return to office policy is going to cause people to get COVID but they are charging ahead anyways. There is a text that goes out to all employees with basic screening questions that you do not have COVID symptoms or were not in contact with someone who has COVID. I'm not required to go in every day, but on days I have been, I answered yes so I haven't gone in. Obviously, my supervisor has wised up to what I'm doing so this will lead to some tense meetings in the future.
  18. I'm confused. How are Canadians without guns going to defend themselves from other Canadians without guns?
  19. Has Texas eliminated rapes yet?
  20. A state with a near total ban on abortion, unfettered access to guns, voter suppression, unstable power grid and lack of funding for health care is not well run.
