  1. I understand. You admire a man who created a cult of adoring investors. They invest in Elon, not Tesla. They invest because they think Elon is on the verge of something revolutionary that's been a year away since 2014. They believe in his hyperloop that turned out to be a single lane tunnel of about 2 miles. They believe in his robot that was just a guy in a costume. He's a charlatan. It's fine if you admire charlatans.
  2. She doesn't actually say she will campaign for Democrats but she didn't she wouldn't.
  3. The irony being is that Tesla has done so well because Elon has got so many investors to adore him.
  4. LOL Elon hasn't done shit for Tesla. He's just a master stock manipulator. He has a developed a cult like following. He's been promising FSD is one year away since 2014. He started charging $10,000 for the feature in 2016 that still doesn't exist. He sold Roadster's in 2017 for nearly $200k that still don't exist. He told us the Cybertruck would be in production by 2019. The factory isn't even built yet. He promises humanoid robots and instead we got a mannequin and a guy dancing in a costume. He's not genius. He's PT Barnum.
  5. With those things they wear on their helmets, I thought he was mixing it up with Malcolm Rodriguez when I first saw it.
  6. Not interested pre-Dobbs. Since Dobbs we have seen a spike in registrations that favor Democrats, we have seen polling that favors Democrats, and we have seen elections that have favored Democrats. The momentum is with the Democrats right now. You can spew all the issue data you want, but elections are won and lost on cultural wars and the Democrats have a cultural war they can win.
  7. I made my first round of donations. Donated to Marlinga, Scholten, Slotkin, Kilde, Mandela Barnes and Tim Ryan. I passed on Whitmer, Benson, Nessel, Fetterman and Kelly for now since they are well funded and the Republicans are dumping a lot of money in Ohio now.
  8. We may not even see Okwara in a Lions uniform again. After this season, they can free up a lot of cap space by cutting him.
  9. Just a reminder: His completion % was 69.5%, for 898 yards, 9 TDs, 2 INTs, and a 105.1 passer rating during that stretch. That rating was 4th during that stretch behind Rodgers, Mahomes and Burrow. Ben Johnson working the offense which also saw more involvement of St Brown, something that resembled a deep threat in Reynolds, and suddenly Goff looked more like 2018 Goff.
  10. Goff was a different QB when Campbell and Johnson took over the offense and they signed Reynolds. I think Goff will have a Kirk Cousins type season. He'll have the numbers, he won't lose any games, maybe even win a game or two, and create serious debate if he's the future QB or not.
  11. The US built one of the largest freeway networks in the world. They can build high speed rail if they wanted to. High speed doesn't need to be everywhere. You would probably want a high speed line from DC to Boston, New York to Chicago, and maybe one entirely within California from San Diego to San Francisco.
  12. I liked the Rodriguez pick. The NFL is moving away from the big plodders at linebacker like Tavai. I think we are going to see more hybrid type safety/linebackers like Rodriguez. If this were 1996 I would be worried about Rodriguez's size but I think he fits in today's NFL.
  13. The US needs high speed rail. I was just reading that an Amtrak trip from New York to Chicago is 21 hours. In China a route of that distance would be 4 hours. We continue to poor money into freeways but high speed rail connecting large urban centers would also appeal to the climate people as it would reduce car emissions and plane emissions.
