  1. McConnell had his whole party in line when Susan Collins voted not to confirm Coney Barrett or when Murkowski voted not to confirm Kavanaugh, but guess what, he had the buffer to do it. We all know McConnell had his party in line when McCain famously struck down the Obamacare repeal. Besides confirming judges and tax breaks, what else has the Republican senate done? That's all they care about. Explain to me what steps Biden needs to take to force Manchin and Sinema to end the filibuster. Between the house and senate, 267 Democrats voted to codify Roe. Two voted no. ZERO Republicans voted to codify Roe. Every justice who voted to overturn Roe was nominated by a Republican. All of them were confirmed by a majority of Republicans. All of the justices who voted to protect Roe were nominated by Democrats and confirmed by a majority of Democrats. Here we are blaming Democrats for Republicans overturning Roe. Absolutely insanity.
  2. I think it's voter fraud. Better have the pillow guy look into it.
  3. The amazing thing is McConnell has been in the senate nearly 40 years and finally got Roe overturned. Schumer has been leader for two years and it's OMG Schumer can't get anything done. The funny thing about complaining about Biden complimenting McConnell is that Biden got a gun bill passed that needed more than 10 Republicans to vote for it. Maybe Biden knows how this works after all.
  4. What specifically should Biden be doing? Issue an executive order legalizing abortion? The house passed a bill codifying abortion. What else is Pelosi suppose to be doing? How does this work? What would the next generation that can't be bothered to vote do? 49 of 50 Democratic senators voted to codify roe. What specifically is Schumer supposed to do? How does he end the filibuster when Sinema and Manchin are opposed?
  5. What's your suggestion other than online woe is me?
  6. Like I said, if they start doing it in states it will set up the same situation as they are in now. He will veto any federal legislation but if states start lowering the boom prior to 2024, it's going to put them in an unfavorable race prior to 2024.
  7. A bill to codify abortion was passed by the house with zero support from Republicans. 49 out of 50 Democratic senators voted for the bill. 99% of Democrats voted to codify abortion. They simply do not have enough votes. Two more Democrats in the senate would be enough to codify it.
  8. I'm tired of this argument. Michigan has no excuse absentee voting for all voters. Voter turnout in Detroit was only 49%. There were 30 drop boxes in the city of Detroit. They didn't even have to leave their house to vote. Less than half voted. Literally hundreds of thousands of votes were left on the table. If you live in a state like Georgia, you're just going to have to suck it up and wait in line 12 hours because it's not going to get better if you don't.
  9. Biden will veto any abortion ban so they won't do it until 2024. If you start doing it in states prior to 2024, it will set up the same situation they are in now.
  10. I'm not as confident Democrats will win. They have such flakey voters. McConnell held a Supreme Court seat hostage for 9 months and they still didn't vote.
  11. There are also a lot of entitled and whiney Democrats who are mad all their demands weren't met in two years and are going to sit out. The same ones who didn't vote for Hillary because she got paid for speeches and used the term super predator when most of them were toddlers.
  12. Just so I'm clear, states have the right to regulate abortion and not guns right?
  13. Can't wait until my CEO responds. My company donated to 10 senate candidates in 2020. Seven of them confirmed judges that overturned Roe and another was John James. James was the only one who wasn't an office holder. Peters and Stabenow are the only ones who didn't confirm these justices.
  14. We're basically looked at now as a 3rd world country with a struggling democracy.
  15. Yeah so many people just overreacting to 50 years of rights being taken away.
  16. Pelosi can hold a vote to codify them, it will likely pass the house like the abortion bill did, and go to the senate where it will be DOA by either Manchin, Sinema, or both. Progressive will then blame Pelosi even though it passed the house and whine that Democrats aren't doing anything and why should I vote even though along the way 95% of Democrats supported codification and 0 Republicans supported codification.
  17. Funny how Thomas didn't mention Loving v Virginia.
  18. Canada will be offering abortions to American women. Canada basically has to treat the US as a third world country.
  19. Louisiana did. Not sure if it was signed into law yet. Their governor is a Democrat but I think they have a large enough majority to override a veto.
  20. Looking back to 2016 is needed. We must reinforce elections have consequences. Trump only won Michigan by 10k votes. Less than half the people in Detroit voted. This is the consequences of that inaction. It cannot happen again.
  21. Yeah we get to look forward to when gay marriage is overturned.
  22. Twitter may very well be what helped launched Trump's presidency.
  23. Progressive Twitter is already blaming Democrats. I have no hope for this country.
