  1. After this game, they have the Jets, Panthers, Bears and Packers. I think they would be favored in all of those games. That's why it's a bold take. I think they run the table if they get this win. Giants have two against the Eagles, one against the Vikings, and one against Washington. Not an easy schedule. Lets not forget the 49ers. They only lead Seattle by 1 game. They lost Garoppolo for the season. They play Seattle, Washington, Tampa and a tough Raiders team. The 49ers could very well fall out of the playoffs. Plus, all the teams ahead of the Lions play each other. Not all of them are going to win out.
  2. McVay said Stafford was pulled in his last game because he had numbness in his legs. He had back issues in Detroit as well. I keep thinking of Mike Utley and Reggie Brown. This doesn't seem good.
  3. My bold take is the Lions do win out if they win this game. They will be favored in all the remaining games. Dan Campbell will win coach of the year in that case and people will still be saying look at the Giants!
  4. Here's my bold hot take: If the Lions win this game, they will make the playoffs baring something unforeseen like a season ending injury to Goff.
  5. This kind of sounds serious?
  6. I so want the Giants to be the one win team after hearing but the Giants all season.
  7. Here's Matthew Stafford at age 28: 65.3%, 4,327, 7.3 24 TD, 10 INT, 93.3 RTG, 65.2 QBR Jared Goff projected: 64.9%, 4,281, 7.5, 27 TD, 10 INT, 95.7 RTG, 60.5 QBR One extra game for Goff but Stafford still attempted a similar number of paces as what Goff is projected to attempt.
  8. It worked out well because the Lions were able to get to 12 with the Rams pick without having to give up much. Now they are looking at a top 10 pick. A lot of people wanted to trade with Carolina for 8th overall, but it's looking like the Lions got two top 12's picks plus a capable QB.
  9. At the risk of this being brought back up a year from now out of context and completely wrong, I'm not sure I do that trade. Stafford is under contract through age 38. The Rams can't even trade him because the dead cap hit would be $50 million. The Rams loaded up for a Super Bowl run but this could get ugly.
  10. Goff is top 10 in yards, TDs, QB rating and QBR and the Lions offense is top 10. I'm slowing the roll on going for a QB. Two top 15 picks, two 2nd round picks and a top 3rd rounder can net a couple starters. I have a feeling Anderson will be off the board by the Lions pick but I really think the interior of the line needs more work so it may not be the worst thing.
  11. If you take away the New England game, the Lions would have a +20 point differential which would be double that of Minnesota's and Minnesota has won 5 more games.
  12. So what are Anibal Sanchez and Doug Fister up to since the Mets are putting together the 2013 Tigers rotation?
  13. Goff is top 10 in yards, TDs, QB rating and QBR. Just saying... *Ducks*
  14. If they win 9 games I will be pretty happy regardless if they make the playoffs or not. The Lions have had a brutal schedule. They had the toughest schedule of any team in the league coming into this Jacksonville game and they are still in playoff contention. Arguably their best player from the draft still hasn't gotten involved yet. Lot of upside to this team right now.
  15. I know the Lions lost to Seattle, but I'm not convinced they are better than the Lions right now. I think that game goes differently if it's played today.
  16. Poking around the Jaguars forum and a guy has this in his signature:
  17. I'm wondering how often is has happened a team has been shutout in a season and finished top 10 in scoring offense that season.
