Noem was getting confirmed regardless of their vote. It's the Susan Collins approach. They knew she had the votes to get confirmed so you through a bone to your swing voters. Instead, Dems will hold purity tests over this.

Benson has already thrown her hat into the Governor's race. I think Karen McDonald should run for attorney general. The top candidates off the top of my head would be Whitmer, Buttigieg and Haley Stevens.

If not Whitmer, Buttigieg could make a run. If he has presidential aspirations, he needs to show he can win an election other than mayor of South Bend.

I was at that Kroger once. There was a bank in their and I was interviewing about 13-14 years ago for a district manager job that would cover the west side. I had previously stopped in a nearby Family Dollar to pick up a notepad and pen and later learned the worker there was killed like a day or two later. I actually don't recall running into any Arabs while I was there but I did drive down Warren Ave and everything was written in Arabic. I think that was my last time in Dearborn other than passing through on 94.

Not sure if this is a reliable source. I live on the opposite side of town from Dearborn, but there are at least three Arab/Muslim families on my block along with multiple Ukrainian immigrants. No raids yet here.
