In many ways the parlay is a sucker bet. The odds are nice but it’s damn hard to put 3 or more winner’s together. Who am I kidding, even a 2 teamer isn’t easy. Commanders killed 2 parlays yesterday where I got the other 2 legs. Need NYG -1 tonight to avoid the same fate.

It appears Mac Jones has a high ankle sprain and will be out a few weeks. Lions will probably see Brian Hoyer in 2 weeks in New England.

I’m not buying lack of depth as a factor. They were the better team for most of the day. They had many chances to put the game away. It shouldn’t have come down to asking one of the Hughes Bros. to make a play.

This was a tough one for me. It doesn’t matter that this was never circled as a win on all of our season predictions. They played better than the Vikings today and should’ve won, yet when crunch time came they gave it away in all too familiar Lions fashion. This is exactly what Brad and Dan have been preaching all off season about not doing. It was about changing the culture and building a tough, gritty team that can overcome and find ways to win these type of games. Dan talked about it at length on Hard Knocks about creating a winning mentality that makes good on the one or two key plays to win games at the end. Sucks to have them in this exact situation with a chance to take a step forward only to find out that not much has changed with their end game mentality since last season.

They played well enough to win this game. Some very poor play calling decisions on crucial plays along with the choice to try a 54 yd FG at the end ultimately lost this one. Not just Campbell either, AG has to own this one big time too. Inexcusable to not take out Oruwariye and let Will Harris play.

Tough call. Do you run and take it down to 1:25 seconds and punt back to MN or try to get the game winning 3rd & 14 completion?

What kind of finger injury keeps an offensive guard from sucking it up and playing? Buddy tape it and let’s go.

I’d love the idea of Lamar with the Lions. Unfortunately, we can’t have nice things so I assume that he’d immediately suffer a terrible injury and never be the same if he came here. Through 2 games, Goff has done what he’s needed to do to become the QB of the future. If it continues, Brad will sign him to an extension and next QB talk will stop temporarily.

This entire team is an afterthought. They should throw a ton of money at one of the retired drivers on TV to come out and take the seat. Even better get a rotation of Jensen, Nico, Damon Hill, Paul DiResta, Anthony Davidson, even let Martin and Karun get a race. At least get some attention while finishing at the back of the grid.

Don’t forget that he didn’t just come out of nowhere. He was a 5 star recruit and Army All-American. He was a victim of the Clay Helton era at USC and that hampered his consistent production. He was also stung by constant QB injuries and was splitting time in a super loaded WR room with Michael Pittman, Drake London, Tyler Vaughns, and Velus Jones. He was drafted in the Covid year and that made everyone’s evaluations atypical. I think he was definitely hurt by a lack of combine. No doubt he would’ve impressed on the field and in the interview. Glad it all worked out and we were able to get the steal of the entire draft.
