  1. Billy is blowing up! He’s the new King of Jamgrass.
  2. This kid finds way too much of the middle of the plate for our bats to go dead tonight
  3. Rejoice? This is a complete rip-off for $20/month.
  4. My Trumpy mother in law just sighed and made off hand comment about it being some type of new national holiday
  5. Big props to Valteri Bottas. He's driving the hell out of that Alfa He might be getting more out of his car than any other driver.
  6. This started as a car performance issue and if it stayed that way then yes it would be on Mercedes to figure out on its own. After the race in Baku, it became a driver safety issue and that will always be the first priority from FIA and F1.
  7. That is not accurate. None of the teams spotted any porpoising in the wind tunnel during development since it only occurs at speeds faster than the tunnel can measure. It became an issue on the new cars once they hit Barcelona for testing. Every team was surprised by it and all had to deal with it to some degree or another. The decision this week for the FIA to step in actually hurt Merc. They are suffering the worse than everyone and now they can be forced to make changes to the car that will impact performance. The decision won't be their's anymore if they want to try and live with it during a race.
  8. In my mind Toto made a comment back about how nice it must have been to suck so badly the prior season to throw in the towel and start new development early. Ferrari has taken very good use of this advantage but it appears Merc is starting to figure things out. It looks to be a nice battle for 2nd overall in constructors.
  9. Weren’t the Rangers saying the same thing a few weeks ago.
  10. I’m excited to witness Riley Greene’s first strikeout. I think he might even get 2 today.
  11. Great to see 3 Detroit area high schoolers listed in Law’s top 100.
  12. I am not sure that he deserves to be in demand after his time here. I am of the opinion that too much credit is given to GM’s of struggling teams doing what is smart rather than getting obsessed over the shiny object that managed Houston to 4 playoffs and 2 World Series in 5 years. I also feel the same way about the cheating. Fans make a big deal but it’s old news to the rest of MLB and will have no impact on stopping him from getting other jobs.
  13. Having major league talent is not the same as being able to be a consistent major league player. Maybe 1 in 10 with the talent are able to make it up and stick. That number is probably far less for position players. This is a really hard game and most minor leaguers with major talent still fail.
  14. Doubt Taco Bell at your own risk. They know something nobody else does. I’ll put their quants up against any. The pick has to be Johnny Davis. He’s going to be the best player in the draft.
  15. I’m just answering what has the guy done that is so appealing. His record in Houston was impressive and everyday that passes is another day that the cheating scandal becomes less important. The record after he left could also be viewed as a remnant of what he built and a positive for him instead of a negative. End of the day though I think all managers are overrated. Easiest leadership job in pro sports.
  16. Houston is like 90% of his managerial experience. You can’t compare the cup of coffee in AZ and here. He led a team that hadn’t been to postseason in a decade and went to the playoffs 4 times in 5 years in Houston and 2 World Series. That’s impressive.
  17. Agree. People aren’t firing their coaches for him but I see teams like the Angels, Cubs, Nats, and Mariners being very interested in him
  18. I’ve heard nothing about the first part. Has this been speculated or reported anywhere? Chris doesn’t seem like the succession plan type of guy. The second part is easy. He’s a World Series champion with a good reputation managing current players. GM’s like that combination. The scandal is the only reason the Tigers were able to get him and every year that passes it gets farther away from blemishing him. This is not a good team. It’s proven obvious that the front office bought way too much into players coming off career seasons when building the roster. I don’t think that will fall on AJ in baseball circles. In fact, I bet he can spin this dreadful year as a positive learning experience that will make him a better manager. Probably complete bs but some other team will eat it up. I don’t think he has a problem finding a better job if he wants it.
  19. Because this is a shit show and a better job that isn’t so far away from winning will be open for him.
  20. Im the opposite. I wish he’d figure out how to get the garbage can gang going again here.
  21. It’s not Hinch’s fault but I’ve got no issue firing him since he’s going to leave on his own this off-season.
  22. Absolutely. Have you taken a look at what face value to go to a major concert is these days. It’s insane. These promoters are in for a rude awakening
  23. Have fun. I would expect it to be pretty empty. Weather aside, most all of the major touring bands have struggled to fill seats so far this summer.
  24. That dog don’t hit
  25. So much winning.
