One example would be Baez swinging at sliders down and out of the zone. If he lays off those, pitchers have to pitch in the zone which leads to more hittable pitches and mistakes.

I like how Harris was talking about "earning" better pitches. Some pitches are just unhittable but with better approaches, the hitters will see better pitches to hit. That could be a big reason why the offense struggled at the end. Their approach was not as good and that had a cascading effect. If they know the cause, they can find a solution.

Sorry to spoil the fun but I think we'll see almost exactly the same team again next year. I think Harris will try to add the best hitter, starter and reliever that he can. I won't hold my breath they will be "big" additions. This team is going to get significantly more expensive just to field the same guys again. Harris will of course churn the fringes of the 40 man roster all year. I expect them to be back in the playoffs again in 2026.

Great, entertaining season. They need to figure out why they were Jekyll and Hyde two years in a row. That's why Harris and Hinch get paid the big bucks. They need to prevent that. I understand there are losing streaks but this was the tale of two different teams both seasons.
