I noticed that also and its one big reason Tampa traded him but it was rotten day for evaluating. Same for candy's error but that cost us 5 runs and essentially the ballgame.
-
Hope Meadows is moved soon to AA
-
Hinch loves catchers. Lucky we don't have four. But watch Garneau slam the ball today now that we have doubted him.

Yes I remember that and before the game was "This week in Baseball"..I can still hear the music...

Didn't we get Elvis for J-up ?

I think this is the third game of the year. We have a good team that will contend all season. And one of the better managers. I'm staying all in.

Just hit him and be dine with it.

That trend reverses today with Mighty Skubal and his K machine.

4/8 1:10 White Sox @ Tigers **OPENING DAY 2022**

Ya but I butchered Kreidler so does that help ?
-
Kreisler will be our starting second baseman by seasons end. Way better than Isaac. 🤞

This trade matched the GM's preferences. Al prefers power and the Rays OBP and draft pick accumulation. If Meadows can hold his own in the field this is a great move for Detroit. Left handed power is valuable even as a DH which is where he will eventually play. As for Issac I always wondered why someone with such a good understanding of the strike zone never hit better than he did. It seems that he was always thinking walk first. Like he could recognize pitches out of the zone but could not recognize pitches to hit. The best part is we are adding to win now ! Thank goodness for that !

On the surface it looks like a steal but wait it's..oh nooo..Tampa Bay and they will probably get the most out of Isaac and make a good draft pick. Having said that knowing Hinch signed off I feel better. Not sure Meadows will handle Left field in Comerica real well but his power and clutch hitting is solid. Best of all we are adding to win! Could this be our 1984 version of the Willie Hernandez trade also made at the close of spring training in 1984 ?

I think your right Willie may be the biggest benefactor to Riley’s and Hills injury. He’s probably on the team. If he hits who knows. Just hope Riley Greene isn’t channeling Walt Dropo.
-
Bummer. And Hill is broken AGAIN so we can't even give him a long look. I guess we will find out for sure how much game Victor Reyes has. I actually am fairly..kind of..sorta..optimistic about Victor "hit like VMART - Run like Rickey" Reyes.

Come on Detroit reporters get the news.

Buck Martinez never shuts up. Makes me yearn for jack Morris.

How is Greenes arm rated ? Better for center or right ? It seems our outfield starters cumulatively might have the worst arms in Baseball ? Maybe Philly worst ? Possible ?
-
After Tork and Greene Kreidler, Santana, Dingler, Segura, Breiske and Jobe seem to have the best "press", early stats, and look good on the limited film. I am hoping Al passed on Mayer because the organization feels Santana is just as good.
-
Does analytical also apply to drafting ? Maybe that's why the Dodgers always have a deep farm system despite drafting low every year. If that is the case, I do not know , maybe we will choose better and have deeper farm ?
-
Which is why they will end up batting second and third. Or third and fourth with Baez 5th
-
Seems that it's actually a little over 88 feet between first and second and second and third and this move, if implemented, plus larger bases will reduce it another 1.5 feet. The minor leagues are doing both this year. Logic is to increase stolen base attempts and first to third action.
-
Hill, Reyes and Cameron all have options that won't be a deciding factor. Since H.Castro can play the outfield and Haas also maybe Hinch is leaning towards keeping W. Castro and Garneau when the rosters get to 26 ? I mean if Badoo plays everyday the starting nine all seem to be 150 game/year players apart from Catching and Miggy.

And who was the poster that said he would make the team ? Looks like I was "just a little outside" on that one!
