  1. I don’t think I’ll be using the microphone going forward just typing
  2. We can fix our ball pen, but we can’t fix our offense via the trade deadline. So trade for swinging his arms and wait for the offense to recover. It’s a slump and a bad one, but it won’t last the rest of the year. We’re better than this And we will show it once we are. We will need some bullpen help. That’s all we can do no need to ruin the nice cachet of minor league players.
  3. Pitching not so good either. is it ok to worry a bit ?
  4. I am expecting one or two somewhat modest moves and retaining the core of our farm system. Relievers unheralded or on expiring contracts. If Riley Greene-Tork-Carpenter- Torres don't hit getting The Judge wouldn't push us over the line. There really isn't much available and it would be stupid to get into bidding war for a rental. I agree with those who say Harris won't do that but we shall see.
  5. That’s too bad. Rogers sounded good
  6. Does that include the allowed 5% overage ?
  7. Remember the following when trading prospects for rentals : 1. No guaruntee the prospect will ever make or excel in the Majors BUT : 2. No guarantee the acquired player will perform well down the stretch AND 3. No guarantee EVEN IF the acquired player performs well we will win in the playoffs. So trades, any trade at any time, must be equal value or better in return. Do not panic. Keep the Program growing.
  8. Not trading Liranzo and Lee for 2 months of Suarez whose power will play less in Detroit and his defense could cost us dearly. Rental bats just do not command a big haul. JHM and Madden. Tops.
  9. Wow thi game kinda stinks Better days ahead. Stay Calm and Carry On.
  10. Indeed allowing us to add another arm only if the price is right. Not trade him. I didn’t mean that. No no. I dye any to trade any of our top 12.
  11. Let's hope Melton looks good and gives Harris some leverage looking for relievers.
  12. Welcome back Matt !
  13. Come on boys stop fooling around
  14. I do not think losing Skubal will stop this organization from excelling. The question comes down to is an additional year of Skubal on a potentially championship level team plus a competitive draft pick worth as much as the assets acquired in trade.
  15. And that equates to 400 million from the Dodgers given the 13% v 4% State tax difference
  16. I agree it would be for multiple major league players with multiple years of control playing positions of need. But I expect Skubal stays all of 2026 and we settle for the camp pick and two playoff runs
  17. Additionally aren't we allowed a 5 % overage on our total so another half million so now 1.5 surplus ?
  18. Heading toward the Dutchman DeBruin ?
  19. Cason Cunningham off the board. We were often tied to him
  20. I say Joe Coleman pitching in a minor league championship game in Albuquerque New Mexico at the end of his career by pure chance. Don't remember anything else about that trip or who I was with or what I was doing. Whisky and Baseball. Hell of a combo.
