  1. Tigers must fresher tonight. Nothing like a trip to Tijuana to reduce stress.
  2. If Verling make the same jump next year as he did this year we will have an all star caliber player. Sweeney looking sweet tonight.
  3. so much for the Central stinking in 2024
  4. Been to Camden many times and Memorial Park as well. Lived there for about 9 years when the parks changed. Great ballpark. We often go to San Diego for weekends since we moved West and Petco is indeed cool but I prefer the bricks of Camden. And Boog's BBQ 😉
  5. They will win tonight.
  6. We have potentially 2 power left handed bats for first or hopefully catcher.
  7. only 4 games out in the loss column.....do we regret trading Captain Jack ?
  8. Understandable loss considering the travel jet lag and start time. Plus the Padres are solid. Rest tomorrow in Tijuana and take the next 2.
  9. Need that strike out reliever this winter Scottie.
  10. Agree. And I’m not convinced he will hit either although I am rooting hard especially with runners on base. Sure hope it changes as we need a power right handed bat badly in the middle of all our left-handed hitters. It should be a perfect situation for torque to excel or somebody.
  11. True but Tork has to come off the bag and catch the ball. He did the same with Skubal the other day. Statue defender.
  12. Sweeny looks good to "my untrained eye" turning the double play and might have little pop. Haven't seen much else and certainly not blown away. Should we all forget about dreaming for an Adames signing ? Feels like it.
  13. So close yet so far
  14. Ya if thy would’ve cashed him in and traded Ohtani they would be in much better position
  15. He drove home Al Kaline with the winning run that clinched the 1968 pennant " Don wert singles..Kaline scores, the fans are streaming on the field, and the Tigers have won their first pennant since 1945..let's listen to the bedlam at Tiger Stadium"....I can hear it like Ernie is reciting it here in my office.
  16. To be fair McStinky has done much better with consistent playing time. Having said that.....
  17. Relievers are like finding golf balls in the rough...hard to see but they are there so don't trade good assets or spend BIG $. I like the converted starter option or short term free agent. They are just not reliable year to year except for a few closers.
  18. Sweeney. Nice.
  19. Sitting Verling for McStinky. Talk about staying power.
  20. Rough homecoming game for Baez. Obviously trying to hard. Great tribute from the Cubs fans. Flags fly forever as do memories.
  21. Best post of the year ?
  22. Missing that strike out reliever here. Got 2 off season Scot
  23. Two DH’s collaborating on a screw up.
  24. Agree.Despite not being his biggest fan he was a useful pick up that ,unfortunately (IMO), Hinch played too often. But I have a question and that is "Did we cut Willie Castro to add McStinky ? " I don't recall the sequence of events.
  25. I think that was the whole idea when Harris signed him. Unfortunately, the Dodgers were correct to let him go.
