  1. Edvinsson signed his ELC!
  2. Surely he's just the best shooter in the league! Goals looked nice via twitter
  3. I have to rely on ESPN+ out here in California sadly! Appreciate the heads up though
  4. Zadina done for the season with an illness apparently
  5. Hmmm I don't think I can watch this since it is NHL Network? Dumb
  6. Sebastian Cossa (Edmonton Oil Kings): A first-round pick of the Detroit Red Wings in the 2021 NHL Draft, Cossa finished third among WHL goaltenders in wins (33), shutouts (six) and goals-against average (2.28) during the 2021-22 Regular Season. The 6-foot-6, 215-pound product of Fort McMurray, Alta. made 46 appearances for the Central Division Champion Oil Kings, suffering just nine regulation defeats. The 19-year-old has a career 71-16-4-3 record in 98 regular season WHL games, all with Edmonton, to go along with a 2.12 goals-against average, .921 save percentage and 14 shutouts. https://whl.ca/article/whl-names-division-nominees-for-del-wilson-memorial-trophy
  7. I hunted this down to one of his mailbags I think it was, agreed with Max's take that Elmer is going to be a better offensive player but Ras will contribute in a lot of other ways. I still find it odd that he says Rasmussen is faster than Elmer. Elmer has better edge work for sure, but I feel like he's also deceptively fast with his size. I thought that showed up a bit yesterday in the little Frolunda I saw. Rasmussen skates around like a Frankenstein monster to me so it is weird my take is so different from Bultman's...but I imagine he knows a lot more than me!
  8. RIP Guy. I'm not sure what Bultman is watching with Soderblom's skating versus Rasmussen but I have to vehemently disagree with his take.
  9. Seider is back on the ice phew oddly enough Sundqvist got kicked out and a 5 minute major for a slash on the hands which is the first time I've ever seen that? Crosby straight up slashed someone's finger tip off once and the league didn't even give him a minor penalty so I'm shocked but okay with this.
  10. Seider took a headshot, now he's not on the bench to start the third. Really concerned about this. I hope this is just being over cautious but he looked kinda woozy getting up.
  11. I scared my dog yelling "COME ON!" when he dropped it back to no one!
  12. I was kinda shocked Ras didn't hold up more going into Bob there, I can see why Gudas did what he did. Though I'm also confused how it was evened up on those penalties haha. Panthers are running away with this now I think...
  13. He looked fairly quick in the limited time I watched...I'm hoping there's a way to watch this on espn+ as a vod so I can rewatch the non-jumpy parts
  14. I haven't been paying much attention but I just looked up in time to see Bert score an absolutely sweet (but kinda dumb) goal haha . Amazing.
  15. I honestly wasn't able to watch much sadly, work has been crazy today. Edvinsson had missed some games with a mystery injury so I'm glad he played today. Also can't go back and edit my post but my response on Al reads back a lot more aggressive than I intended originally. Think I was mixing my work frustrations with surprise about Al.
  16. They finally figured it out the stream is smooth at least for now.
  17. In searching Twitter it sounds like this is the norm for ESPN+'s SHL broadcasts though they figure it out sometimes part way through the game. Sad that they can't figure it out...
  18. Welp the Frolunda stream is pretty unwatchable so far, it is stuttering so much it is making me feel sea sick or something
  19. 1. I doubt that this is the first time he's been caught doing it and I'll just leave it at that with all the rumors flying around 2. You can't just whip your junk out and pee wherever you want in a place of business where other people are. Especially a high profile business. There was a bathroom nearby, he can use it like an adult in my opinion. If he can't walk 60 feet to the bathroom how can he do his job? What if this uncontrollable urge strikes him when he's driving the zamboni during an intermission? Does he just get to pee on the ice? If it is so bad he shouldn't be working anyways. I'm shocked people are giving him a pass on this. Frolunda (Edvinsson and Soderblom) will be live on ESPN+ in about half an hour for anyone who has it
  20. He assisted on their GWG last night so hopefully this isn't a mirage! Slick little play to skate to the middle and pass it back:
  21. A bit surprised Berggren is being written off after his strong first season in AHL so far, it isn't easy to go to a new country and a new ice size. Most points on the team (third in points per game it looks like but a "soft"/smaller winger playing more games is a good thing to me), second most goals with 19. When the Griffins really needed wins recently he stepped up (9 pts in 5 games last week). Had a decent release on a goal last night: Sure a ton of guys top out at solid AHLers but I think we'll learn a lot this next training camp. Hopefully he has a huge offseason training.
  22. The Wings actually responded to a goal... and then took the lead?!
  23. And that was with a semi-capable first line center playing all situations (I say semi-capable because the injury was sapping his play). Truly impressive how much of a downgrade this is on an already putrid team. First line center Pius Suter is something I'll tell my grandkids about.
  24. Myself, I'm not worried about Cossa (nor do I feel particularly sure about him) at this age. Plus juniors is such a different beast defensively / offensivley compared to even the AHL let alone the NHL. He still ended up with fairly solid numbers even with being so up and down. It'll be interesting to see where he goes from here. Wallstadt is backing up in the SHL playoffs and Askarov got demoted to the VHL, young goalies are voodoo more than linear development.
